Miles de niños tienen el sueño de algún día jugar fútbol profesional. Sonar no cuesta nada, pero lo más importante del sueño es despertar y trabajar por el mismo. La escuadra de fútbol Sub 14 del Club de Fútbol Bentonville FC Prodigy cuenta con muchos chicos que sueñan algún día militar en el fútbol profesional.

La semana pasada integrantes de esta escuadra disfrutar de una probadita de lo que es ser un futbolista profesional. Kurt Austin, Director de Comunicaciones del equipo profesional Sporting KC comparte la intimidad del Infierno Azul con la escuadra representativa de Arkansas.

11A.M. inicia la aventura, muchos de los padres de familia y jugadores nunca habían tenido la oportunidad de visitar las instalaciones o sabían de la existencia de Sporting KC, pero el sábado después de la visita, agregaron que regresarían para presenciar el último juego de los muchachos de Peter Vermes en el Infierno Azul.

Carlitos Aldahir integrante de la Sub 14 dijo “el tour fue una experiencia que increíble. Estoy tan agradecido que el señor Kurt Austin tuvo la gentileza de tomar tiempo de su tan ocupada agenda, aun cuando el equipo estaba a punto de viajar a Dallas para su penúltimo partido. El poder ver todo lo que pasa detrás de cámaras antes y después de un juego me da una idea de lo que es el fútbol profesional. La mejor parte de esta experiencia fue pisar el terreno de juego por primera vez, me hizo sentir como que era parte del equipo. El sentarnos en la banca de Sporting me hizo vibrar y como que fuera uno de ellos. El visitar el camerino del equipo nos quitó la respiración.”

Kurt Austin quien nos dio la gira tuvo mucha paciencia con nuestros hijos quienes llevaron mucha energía.” Agregó el señor Baker. Javi Breton volante central de Bentonville FC Prodigy y uno de los jugadores más técnicos que se está desarrollando el Noroeste de Arkansas en estos últimos años dijo “El poder estar en el mismo lugar donde grandes jugadores de la Selección Nacional de Estados Unidos juegan fue espectacular. Ha este estadio han llegado grandes jugadores como Zlatan quien estuvo hace algunas semana aquí fue fenomenal. Me impresionó saber cómo los jugadores de Sporting KC son tratados, no sabía que reciben un trato de primera. También aprendí de todo lo que el personal tiene que hacer durante un juego con una agenda bien ocupada.” Concluyó Javi.

El fútbol sigue creciendo en Arkansas. Mucho niños comienzan a jugar este deporte a temprana edad, y gracias al apoyo de sus padres logran experimentar cosas como las vividas por la Sub 14 Bentonville FC Prodigy en el Children’s Mercy Park y que de alguna manera sirve de motivación para niños como José Meza. “José lleva mucho tiempo jugando fútbol y una visita tan especial como esta le servirá de motivación para tomar mas en serio los entrenamientos pues pudo ver de primera mano el lugar donde los jugadores se concentran y planean el juego. Mi hijo se fue con la idea que estuvo sentado en el mismo asiento donde jugadores que el admira como Zlatan, Giovani Dos Santos, Roger Espinoza, Graham Zusi, Diego Rubio, y Felipe Gutiérrez.” Concluyó Arturo Meza.
