Tulsa y Oklahoma City ocupan el primer y el tercer puesto del ranking de las ciudades más económicas para vivir el 2019, a sus residentes les queda disponible entre el 84 y el 85% de sus sueldos luego de pagar la renta. Este es un gran descubrimiento del estudio realizado por BusinessStudent.com – que comparó sueldo promedio y renta- que publicó un informe titulado “Las 25 ciudades más económicas para vivir y trabajar del 2019”.
Entrando ya casi en el nuevo año, consideramos muchos factores a la hora de decidir dónde trabajar y dónde vivir, como las oportunidades laborales y el costo de vida. Tener un salario alto es fantástico, pero si los alquileres también son altos, entonces no queda resto para crecer ¿Cómo vas a ahorrar?
Obviamente hay que considerar para tomar esta difícil decision el bagaje cultural y los gustos y preferencias de las personas, pero desde lo financiero, quedarse en Tulsa tiene sus ventajas:

El salario anual promedio en Tulsa es de $68,147 y la renta promedio de $863.
En Oklahoma City el salario promedio es un poco más alto, $73,132, pero también lo es la renta: $958.

This was a top finding in a new study from BusinessStudent.com – which factored in average salary and rent – and has released a list of “The 25 Most Affordable Cities to Live and Work In 2019.”
As we head into 2019, many factors will determine where people choose to work and live, such as job opportunity and cost of living. Making a high salary is great, but if rents are so high that you have very little disposable income left over, are you going to be able to put money away for a rainy day?
Obviously, a person’s individual cultural and social tastes should also be considered, but from a purely financial standpoint, sticking close to home has its advantages.
Tulsa ranked No. 1 with 85% of salary leftover after rent
Oklahoma City ranked No. 3 with 84% of salary leftover after rent.
The average annual salary in Tulsa is $68,147 with average monthly rent of $863.
Oklahoma City’s average annual salary is a bit higher at $73,132, but so is the cost of rent, $958 per month.
Here were some of the national findings:
The average income left after rent in the top 25 cities is 81 percent.
Texas had five cities in the top 25.
The Midwest placed eight cities on our list, including three in Ohio alone.
Oklahoma boasts two of the top three cities, including the overall No. 1.
Dallas had the highest average salary in the top 25 at $82,609, while its Texas neighbor, College Station, had the lowest average salary at just $55,086.
None of the most affordable cities in which to live and work are located on the East or West coasts.
The cheapest average monthly rent was $863 in Tulsa, while the highest average rent was Dallas’ $1,422.
