San José, California fue el testigo de la metamorfosis por la que atraviesan las Selecciones de Estados Unidos y Costa Rica. Los mas de 13mi aficionados que se hicieron presentes al Estadio Avaya presenciaron lo que podría ser el inicio de un buen proceso que terminara con la eliminatoria a la Copa del Mundo 2022.

El DT de Estados Unidos Gregg Berhalter se convierte en el tercer timonel de Team USA en lograr victorias en dos partidos consecutivos al mando del equipo de las Barras y Las Estrellas.

Gran actuación por parte de Sebastián Lletget quien después de haber sufrido aquella lesión ante Honduras durante la eliminatoria de la Copa del Mundo aquel 24 de Marzo del 2017 fue pieza fundamental en la victoria de Estados Unidos por marcador de 2-0 ante los Ticos. Lletget anoto a la altura del minute 80 e hizo pase para lograr el 2-0 definitivo.

“Cuando supe que el juego se realizara aquí, me puse muy contento el poder venir aquí, me recordó muchas cosas tantas buenas como malas, ya que aquí me lesione. En mi anotación, Jonathan y yo hemos estado trabajando en esta jugada, y fue muy especial que se presentara la oportunidad y que anotara precisamente con esta jugada. Greg siempre quiere que haga lo mejor y aportar para el equipo, creo que tuve un buen desempeño pero lo mas importante es que el equipo esta funcionando bien y creo que estamos trabajando para ese objetivo. Creo que en estos últimos dos juegos logramos lo que nos trazamos y seguiremos mejorando. Comento Sebatian Lletget

“Me sentí muy bien jugar por la banda izquierda, esto es algo que no lo había hecho, Greg me pido que lo hiciera y logre el objetivo, es la misma posición solo que por el extremo contrario, lo mas importante fue contribuir para la victoria del equipo. Lo mas importante fue que nos concentramos en hacer lo que hemos venido haciendo, y olvidarnos de Costa Rica y enfocarnos en nosotros. Se siente bien ganar, yo creo que el ano pasado mejore mis estadísticas y cuando representas a tu país y tu familia esta presente y anotar, no puedes pedir mas. También estoy contento con el desempeño de Sebastian, ya que el es de aquí de San Jose, eso es lo que queremos ver cuando te llaman a la selección, y puedes marcar la diferencia. Creo que nuestro campamento fue muy exitoso, jugamos contra Panama y Costa Rica y si evaluamos creo que logramos todo lo que se planeo.” Concluyo Paul Arriola.

La Selección Nacional de los Estados Unidos cierra el mes de febrero con triunfo y el 21 Marzo regresara a la acción para medirse ante Ecuador, dicho encuentro tendrá de sede a la Ciudad de Orlando, Fl. Luego el 26 de Marzo se medirán ante los Campeones de la Copa América, Chile el 26 de Marzo. Este ultimo encuentro se realizara en Houston, Texas.

San José, California was the witness of the metamorphosis that the United States and Costa Rica National Teams go through. More than 13 thousands fans were present at the Avaya Stadium witnessed what could be the start of a good process that would end with 2022 World Cup Qualfiers.

United States coach Gregg Berhalter becomes the third coach of Team USA to achieve victories in two consecutive games with the national team.

Great performance by Sebastian Lletget who suffered an injury against Honduras during the World Cup Qualifiers on March 24, 2017. Sebastian was a crucial piece in the US victory against The Ticos 2-0.

Lletget scored top of the 80^th minute and assist in the second goal to put a final scored 2-0.

“When I learned that the game was played here, I was very happy to be able to come here, it reminded me of many good and bad things, because here where I got hurt. In my score, Jonathan and I have been working on this play, and it was very special that the opportunity presented itself and that he scored with this play. Greg always wants me to do the best and contribute to the team, I think I had a good performance but the most important thing is that the team is working well and I think we are working for that goal.
