Con goles de Diego Valdes Contreras al minute 5 y 63, Ayrton Preciado al 23, y de Javier Marcelo Correa al 39 por la via del penal; Santos Laguna obtiene 3 importantes puntos en casa y pone en la cuerda floja al Toluca.

Un Toluca que venia de perder contra Kansas 3 a 0 en el juego de ida de los octavos de la CONCACAF Liga de Campeones en Kansas City USA, no pudo contener el exorcismo aplicado por los Santos en el estadio Corona de la comarca lagunera.

Unos diablos desangelados recibían el primer gol por conducto del chileno Diego Valdés quien le pegó directo al arco y metió un gran gol al minuto cinco.

El segundo gol cae al minuto 23 por Preciado quien llegó por la izquierda al área de Toluca y sacó un disparo con potencia que no supo contener Talavera.

 

Después al minuto 37, Julio Furch fue derribado dentro del área del Toluca, para que el argentino Javier Correa cobrara al centro de Talavera y esto ya estaba 3 a 0 en favor de los locales.

Y para el colmo de males para los diabólicos, el árbitro después de apoyarse en el VAR, expulsa a Santiago García por una fuerte entrada en contra de Gerardo Arteaga del Santos.

Ya para la segunda mitad los guerreros salieron tranquilos pero sin dejar de presionar a los choriceros, provocando al minuto 62 una gran pifia del defensa Rodrigo Salinas para regalar el esférico a Diego Valdés y así caía el cuarto y último gol del partido.

Con este triunfo los de la comarca se ubican en el 4to lugar de la tabla general, quienes el miércoles 27 de febrero reciben al Marathon de Honduras para el juego de vuelta dentro de los octavos de final de la Concachampios, para luego visitar el 2 de marzo al León quienes están en la posición 3 de la tabla.

A Toluca that came back to Mexico after losing against Kansas 3 to 0 in the first leg of the knockout stages of the CONCACAF Champions League in Kansas City, MO, USA, could not contain the exorcism applied by the Saints inside Corona stadium.

Toluca received the first goal through the Chilean Diego Valdés who hit him straight to the goal and scored a great goal in the fifth minute.
