Tulsa será la ciudad de las mariposas

TULSA, OK — La película que idealiza un país perfecto, “La Nación de las Mariposas” fue filmada en Tulsa con la actuación estelar de Paty Manterola. 

En está época de países agobiados por la corrupción, por las crisis económicas y por la intolerancia, El cine latinoamericano apuesta por oxigenar el ambiente con una producción cargada de optimismo y de sueños de integración. 

Se trata de La Nación de las Mariposas, una película producida y realizada en Tulsa, Oklahoma con un elenco internacional con más de 150 actores de 17 nacionalidades y filmada con la mas avanzada tecnología cinematográfica de las cámaras Red dragón 8K, las mismas que se utilizaron para la filmación del Señor de los Anillos.  

El director del film, el chileno Felipe Oyarzo, ya galardonado en su país natal acepto el desafío de hacer cine para la familia pero con un mensaje universal enmarcado en un drama de ficción. 

“Es una película muy diferente a lo que se está viendo”, comenta el director, y agrega que La Nación de las Mariposas es la historia de un país latinoamericano que logró terminar con la pobreza el crimen y la corrupción. Su rostro se ilumina cuando afirma que es una película muy emocionante porque no muestra su contenido como una utopía, sino que lo muestra como una realidad. En esto se unieron la empresas, el gobierno y el pueblo. Sin dudas una afirmación que despertará la envidia de mas de un gobernante. 

El fenómeno se internacionaliza rápidamente y hasta las Naciones Unidas llegan para conocer el milagro en sus orígenes. La respuesta del presidente, un científico en silla de ruedas encarnado por Antonio Pérez es tan sencilla como lapidaria: la gente cambio como las orugas que se convierten en mariposas. 

la primera dama esta interpretada magistralmente por Paty Manterola y le acompañan las primeras actrices Isabel Perozo de Venezuela y Mabel Cabrera Sánchez de Ecuador.  Esta producción ya ha sobrepasado el millón de dólares y actualmente está en manos del jurado del prestigioso festival de Cannes. De su suerte en este evento dependerán las condiciones de distribución y exhibición. La única condición que dejó establecida su productor ejecutivo es que el estreno se lleve a cabo en Tulsa en el histórico Circle Cinema. 

El público de Tulsa podrá reconocer lgares familiares del Downtown, el río y los demás paisajes urbanos de Tulsa. El largometraje dura 135 minutos y no se puede perder ni un segundo. Nunca se sabe si habrá un final feliz. (La Semana) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tulsa will be the city of butterflies 

 

TULSA, OK — The film that idealizes a perfect country, “The Nation of the Butterflies,” was filmed in Tulsa and features a stellar performance from Paty Manterola. 

In this era of countries overwhelmed by corruption, economic crises and intolerance, Latin American cinema is committed to oxygenate the environment with a production full of optimism and dreams of integration. 

This is The Nation of Butterflies, a film produced in Oklahoma with an international cast of more than 150 actors of 17 nationalities and filmed with the most advanced film technology of the Red Dragon 8K cameras, the same ones that were used for the filming of Lord of the Rings. 

The director of the film, Chilean-born Felipe Oyarzo, who has already been awarded in his native country, accepted the challenge of making films for the family but with a universal message framed in a fictional drama. 

“This is a film very different from what is being seen,” said the director, adding that The Nation of the Butterflies is the story of a Latin American country that managed to end crime, corruption and poverty. His face lights up when he affirms that it is a very exciting film because it does not show its content as a utopia, but shows it as a reality. It is a coming together of business, the government and the people, and is no doubt a statement that will awaken the envy of more than one leader. 

News of the phenomenon quickly spreads internationally and even the United Nations arrives to learn the miracle in its origins. The response of the president, a wheelchair-bound scientist portrayed by Antonio Pérez, is as simple as it is lapidary: people change like the caterpillars that turn into butterflies. 

The first lady is interpreted masterfully by Paty Manterola and she is accompanied by the prominent actresses Isabel Perozo of Venezuela and Mabel Cabrera Sánchez of Ecuador. This production has already surpassed one million dollars and is currently in the hands of the jury of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Distribution is still being worked out, but the only condition made by the film’s executive producer is that the premiere takes place in Tulsa at the historic Circle Cinema. 

The Tulsa public will be able to recognize the locations of Downtown, the river and the other urban landscapes of the city. The film lasts 135 minutes and you cannot miss a second. You never know if there will be a happy ending. (La Semana)
