TULSA, OK. Es una desafortunada verdad que las noticias suelen estar dominadas por la tragedia, el crimen y la agitación política, por lo que es importante, de vez en cuando, dar un paso atrás y arrojar un poco de luz sobre lo más simple y las cosas más bellas en la vida. ¿Y qué podría ser más simple o más hermoso que el cumpleaños de un niño?

Y así, hoy La Semana celebra un cumpleaños muy especial en la vida de una familia local, en este caso el primer cumpleaños de dos señoritas muy especiales, Antonella Valentina y Caroline Valentina, gemelas, que nacieron el 29 de abril de 2018.

“Celebramos su primer año el 19 de mayo, en compañía de parientes y amigos cercanos, tomando como tema de su fiesta Hello Kitty”, dijo la madre de las niñas a La Semana. “Afortunadamente, el clima estuvo a nuestro favor, permitiéndonos romper las piñatas en el jardín y permitiendo que los niños jueguen afuera”.

“Las gemelas estaban felices de estar con otros niños y recibieron numerosos regalos”, continuó su madre radiante. “Estoy orgullosa de mis bebés, feliz y agradecida por este hermoso día que quedará grabado en mi memoria”.

Hoy, La Semana anima a sus lectores a olvidar por un momento los problemas del mundo y lo que dijo una estrella de cine o un político en Twitter, y ser felices por dos jóvenes encantadoras que acaban de completar su primer año en la Tierra. (La Semana)

Celebrating simplicity: Antonella and Caroline turn one

 

TULSA, OK — It is an unfortunate truth that the news is usually dominated by tragedy, crime, and political turmoil, which is why it is important from time to time to take a step back and shine a bit of light on the simpler and more beautiful things in life. And what could be simpler or more beautiful than a child’s birthday?

And so today La Semana celebrates a very special birthday in the lives of a local family, in this case the first birthday of two very special young ladies, Antonella Valentina and Caroline Valentina, twins, who were born on April 29, 2018.

“We celebrated their first year on May 19, in the company of relatives and close friends, taking as the theme for their party Hello Kitty,” the girls’ mother told La Semana. “Fortunately, the weather was in our favor, allowing us to break the piñatas in the garden, and allowing the children to play outside.”

“The twins were happy to be with other children and received numerous gifts,” their beaming mother continued. “I am proud of my babies, happy and grateful for this beautiful day that will be engraved in my memory.”

Today La Semana encourages its readers to forget for a moment the troubles of the world and what one movie star or politician said on Twitter, and just be happy for two delightful young girls who have just completed their first year on Earth. (La Semana)
