“Tulsa 3 on 3” basketball tournament at Gathering Place Sept. 6-8

TULSA, OK – Gathering Place will host Tulsa 3 on 3 basketball tournament, sponsored by Hardesty Family Foundation, Sept. 6-8 at Gathering Place Sport Courts.

On Friday, Aug. 9, Executive Park Director Tony Moore was joined by Hardesty Family Foundation Executive Director Michelle Hardesty and event ambassadors Anthony Bowie, (NBA, 1986-2002), Darrell Armstrong, (NBA, 1991-2008) and “Flip” Saul White Jr., Harlem Globetrotter at Gathering Place Sport Courts to announce the opening of team registration. Teams can register now through Sept. 3 on the Gathering Place website.

“We’re excited to bring a friendly competition to Gathering Place through a widely liked tournament style,” Tony Moore, Gathering Place Executive Director said. “Hardesty Family Foundations investment will help further our mission to bring world-class programming for the entire community to enjoy.”

The signature event will be held at the state-of-the-art Sport Courts at Gathering Place, bringing the internationally popular basketball tournament format to Tulsa with the addition of exciting programming for all players, fans and spectators.

The tournament will kick-off with a community event on Friday, Sept. 6. Tournament play will be organized in partnership with Prestige Sports Marketing and will begin Saturday, Sept. 7 and finals and award ceremonies will be held Sunday, Sept. 8. All guests can enjoy food and drink vendors, activities, entertainment and special appearances throughout the weekend.
