FIFA are set to announce their team of the year at ‘The Best’ awards in Milan on Monday evening, which will include four Real Madrid players.
While Los Blancos endured a tough campaign last season, their players continue to gain recognition from their peers as Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard are named in the team, the latter being recognised for his part in helping Chelsea to the Europa League.

Barcelona, Juventus and Champions League winners Liverpool follow with two representatives each.

Frenkie de Jong and Leo Messi are the Blaugrana inclusions, though the Dutch midfielder played for the Ajax team which got to the Champions League semi-finals.

The same goes for Matthijs de Ligt who captained Ajax before switching to Juventus, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s customary appearance is assured.

Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk were crucial to Liverpool’s sixth European Cup success while Kylian Mbappe flies the flag for Paris Saint-Germain.

The FIFA FIFPro Men’s World11 is therefore as follows: Alisson Becker, Matthijs de Ligt, Virgil van Dijk, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo; Frenkie de Jong, Eden Hazard, Luka Modric; Cristiano Ronaldo, Leo Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
