“Latin Ama” international award for Mark Anthony

Los Angeles–El reconocido cantante, actor y productor Marc Anthony será honrado con el Latin AMA International Artist Award of Excellence que otorgan por primera vez los “Latin American Music Awards” (Latin AMAs). El premio especial se le otorga al artista que logra llegar con su música a todos los rincones del mundo, porque este se vuelve pequeño ante su grandeza. No existe ninguna barrera de lenguaje, de raza o de religión, mientras que su nacionalidad no tiene fron­- teras, su bandera es blanca, y sus canciones reverberan como himnos de la música.

Además de recibir el reconocimiento, el artista puertorriqueño también engalanará el escenario con su actuación al interpretar su música durante la ceremonia de premiación de los “Latin AMAs” que será transmitida en vivo por Telemundo el 17 de octubre desde el Dolby Theatre de Hollywood, California. El show también se transmitirá simultáneamente por el canal de entretenimiento, Universo, y en 20 países a través de las Américas por Telemundo Internacional. Los boletos a la premiación están a la venta a través de Ticketmaster o la taquilla del Dolby Theatre.

Marc Anthony es uno de los artistas más influyentes de su tiempo y un verdadero embajador de la música y la cultura latina. Sus temas como “Flor pálida” y “Valió la pena”, entre otros, se han convertido en favoritos del cantante internacional. Sus éxitos musicales también lo han llevado a ser reconocido con innumerables certificaciones de oro y platino de la Recording Industry Association of América (RIAA), contar con más de 31 éxitos en las listas de Billboard, y más de 7.4 billones de vistas en la plataforma YouTube.

Su álbum, titulado Marc Anthony 3.0, lanzado en el 2013, lo hizo acreedor a un American Music Award, una nominación al Premio GRAMMY®; diez Premios Billboard de la Música Latina, y tres Premios Billboard, entre otros. Anthony también recibió en el 2016 el prestigioso honor de “Persona del Año” otorgado por la Academia Latina de Ar­tes y Ciencias de la Grabación. En mayo pasado, tras seis años de presentar 3.0, Anthony estrenó su más reciente álbum OPUS, su octavo álbum de salsa desde que revolucionó la escena de la música Latina con OtraNota (1993), y su nuevo “OPUS TOUR”, inició en Estados Unidos y otros países este año.

Además de su música y sus logros interpretativos, en 2012, el seis veces ganador del GRAMMY® y del Latin GRAMMY®, inició la Fundación Maestro Cares, con eventos de recaudación de fondos durante todo el año para beneficiar a la organización sin fines de lucro y construir orfanatos en América Latina. Los Angeles–Internationally acclaimed singer, actor and producer Marc Anthony will receive the Latin AMA International Artist Award of Excellence given for the first time ever at the “Latin American Music Awards” (Latin AMAs). This special award is given to artists that turn the world around with their greatness, crossing over language, race or religion. Their nationality has no borders; they stand for peace, and their songs reverberate as musical anthems.

In addition to receiving the recognition, the Puerto Rican artist is also scheduled to perform during Telemundo’s live broadcast of the “Latin AMAs” on October 17 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. The award ceremony will also air simultaneously on Spanish-language entertainment cable network, Universo and in 20 countries throughout the Americas via Telemundo Internacional. Tickets to the awards show are on sale via Ticketmaster and the Dolby Theatre box office.

Marc Anthony is one of the most influential artists of his time, and a true ambassador of Latin culture and music. Songs like “Flor Pálida” and “Valió la Pena,” among others, have become fan favorites. His musical hits have also granted him countless gold and platinum awards from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with more than 31 hits on the Billboard charts and over 7.4 billion views on YouTube.

In addition to his achievements as a musician, in 2012, the six-time GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® winner started the Maestro Cares Foundation, hosting several fundraising events throughout the year to benefit the non-profit organization and build orphanages in Latin America. Anthony has also extrapolated his success to the corporate landscape, by becoming a minority-owner of The Miami Dolphins football team, and starting his own entertainment company, Magnus Media.
