Nolan Richardson le dio cientos de victorias a la afición de Arkansas. El domingo, 20 de octubre el director deportivo de la Universidad de Arkansas Hunter Yurachek paso a la historia después de que en ceremonia oficial finalmente la duela de la Arena Bud Walton fuera presentada con el nombre oficial de Nolan Richardson Court.

La Arena Bud Walton le dio la bienvenida al controversial entrenador Nolan Richardson a quien le acompañaron jugadores que estuvieron a su mando, algunos de ellos fueron miembros del equipo que gano el único campeonato nacional que tiene Arkansas.

Uno de los momentos emotivos fue al momento que el ex entrenador Mike Anderson entro a la duela, este mismo que hace algunos meses fuera despedido de Arkansas por los malos resultados obtenidos en su paso por tierra jabalí, pero quien fue jugador y asistente de Nolan Richardson en la época dorada del baloncesto de Arkansas.

El ex presidente de Los Estados Unidos y ex gobernador de Arkansas, Bill Clinton envió un mensaje pre grabado felicitando a Nolan no solo por el reconocimiento, sino por lo que significa el Afroamericano para la sociedad.

En conferencia de prensa Nolan Richardson se expreso de cómo se hubiera sentido su hija si aun estuviera viva por este reconocimiento “ Ella quería el básquetbol mas que todo en el mundo, ella siempre quería que yo ganara todos los juegos, sino lo hacia ella se ponía a llorar, pero no lloro mucho porque que nosotros ganamos muchos juegos, y para mi, yo creo que para mi me trae mucha felicidad en el corazón para mi esposa, mi abuelita, mi nietos, y por eso para mi es una gran felicidad.” Concluyo Nolan Richardson.

Después de la ceremonia, Arkansas jugo su primer juego ante La Universidad de Little Rock a quienes derrotaron por marcador de 79-64. El próximo juego de Arkansas será ante Southwest Oklahoma State el viernes 25 de Octubre a las 7:00 P.M. en la Arena Bud Walton.

Nolan Richardson gave hundreds of victories to the Arkansas fans. On Sunday, October 20, the athletic director for the University of Arkansas Hunter Yurachek went down in history after the official ceremony finally when Bud Walton Arena basketball court was Nolan Richardson Court.

Bud Walton Arena welcomed the controversial coach Nolan Richardson who was accompanied by players who play for him. Some of them were members of the team that won the only national championship that Arkansas has.

One of the emotional moments was at the time that former coach Mike Anderson entered the court, Anderson was fired for the bad results obtained during his time at Arkansas. Anderson was player and assistant of Nolan Richardson in the golden age of Arkansas basketball.

Former president of the United States and former governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton sent a pre-recorded message congratulating Nolan not only for recognition, but for what the African American means to society.

At a press conference Nolan Richardson expressed how her daughter would have felt if she was still alive for this recognition “She loved basketball more than anything else in the world, she always wanted me to win every game, and when we didn’t win games, she to cry, but I don’t think she got to cry much because we won a lot of games, and for me, I think it brings me a lot of happiness in my heart, for my wife, my grandmother, my grandchildren, and that’s why for me it’s a great happiness. ”Nolan Richardson concluded.
