“Mausoleum Stories” set for October 25-27 in Bartlesville
BARTLESVILLE, OK – White Rose Cemetery presentará “Mausoleum Stories 2019” del 25 al 27 de octubre. Los espectáculos comenzarán a las 7 p.m. el viernes 25 de octubre y el sábado 26 de octubre a las 2 p.m. el domingo 27 de octubre, en el Mausoleo de la Rosa Blanca, ubicado en 804 W. 11th Street.
Los boletos cuestan $ 10 cada uno y se pueden comprar en el mostrador de circulación de la biblioteca pública de Bartlesville.
Las representaciones en el evento de este año son Veshelo “Shela” Bitinis Ward, un activista que vivía en un área conocida como “Bitinesville”; Jesse Lee Overlees (1877-1950), quien, junto con su padre y su hermano, fueron pioneros de las personas de Bartlesville que se convirtieron en hombres de negocios exitosos; Dan Mitani (1885-1963), un inmigrante japonés y aparcacoches personal de Frank Phillips; George Orloski (1891-1967), un inmigrante polaco que se mudó a Bartlesville al final de la primera guerra mundial y crió a su familia en la unida comunidad polaca conocida como “Smelter Town”, y Nelson Carr, quien, junto con su esposa Sara Ann Rogers , estableció un pequeño puesto comercial a lo largo del sendero indio Osage en el río Caney en Black Dog Ford, al noroeste del actual Bartlesville.

BARTLESVILLE, OK — White Rose Cemetery will present “Mausoleum Stories 2019” Oct. 25-27. Shows will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at the White Rose Mausoleum, located at 804 W. 11th Street.
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Bartlesville Public Library Circulation desk.
Portrayals at this year’s event are Veshelo “Shela” Bitinis Ward, an activist who lived in an area known as “Bitinesville”; Jesse Lee Overlees (1877-1950), who, along with his father and brother were pioneers of early Bartlesville who became successful businessmen; Dan Mitani (1885-1963), a Japanese immigrant and personal valet to Frank Phillips; George Orloski (1891-1967), a Polish immigrant who moved to Bartlesville at the end of WW1 and raised his family in the tight-knit Polish community known as “Smelter Town; and Nelson Carr, who, along with his wife Sara Ann Rogers, established a small trading post along the Osage Indian trail on the Caney River at Black Dog ford, northwest of present-day Bartlesville.
