Santos Laguna vuelve a la cima.

Los guerreros recuperaron el liderato general del Torneo Apertura 2019 de la Liga MX luego de ganar en el estadio Corona TSM a los gallos del Queretaro 1-0 en la jornada 16.

Un vistoso gol del defensa Matheus Doria, al minuto 17 quien recuperó un balón en la media cancha, se adelantó algunos metros y desde ahí, saca un cañonazo de  izquierda para poner el balón pegado al poste, venciendo a un sorprendido Gil Alcalá, precisó para que los laguneros obtuvieran el triunfo y así volver a ser el número uno y asegurando prácticamente estar en la liguilla.

“Para nosotros era un partido decisivo, si habíamos tomado el resto de los partidos como finales, ésta era la final definitiva, porque dábamos un paso importante, a una buena ubicación y logramos el primer objetivo, que es clasificar entre los primeros ocho, así lo tomamos, los jugadores lucharon mucho, tenemos un equipo bajo de edad y debemos seguir evolucionando para lograr algunas cosas que todavía nos cuesta automatizar”, comento Guillermo Almada, estratega del Santos.

Con esta victoria, el Santos llegó a 30 puntos, quedando atrás el Necaxa con 28, quien descansó esta semana, los del Piojo se estacionaron en el tercer lugar con 28 unidades, mientras los de Vucetich se quedaron con 27 puntos en la cuarta posición.

Estos equipos ya tienen un pie en la fiesta grande, aunque esto se define hasta en la jornada 19

Santos viajara a la capital el próximo 2 de noviembre, para enfrentarse al América del Piojo, luego recibe en la jornada 18 a la máquina del Cruz Azul en casa el próximo 10 de noviembre y termina el cierre del torneo regular visitando al Toluca el 24 de noviembre.

Santos Laguna returns to the top. 

The warriors regained the overall leadership of the 2019 Liga Apertura Tournament after winning the 1-0 Queretaro roosters on week 16th at Corona Stadium. 

A colorful goal by the defender Matheus Doria, in the 17th minute who recovered a ball in the midfield, went ahead a few meters and from there, he took a left shot to put the ball stuck to the post, beating a surprised Gil Alcala, he said to that the lagoons obtained the triumph and thus return to be number one spot in the standings and ensuring practically being in the league’s play offs.

 “For us it was a decisive match, if we had taken the rest of the matches as final, this was a final for us, because we took an important step, to a good position in the standings and we achieved the first objective, which is to rank among the first eight, so we took it, the players fought a lot, we have a young team and we must continue to evolve to achieve some things that we still have trouble automating, “commented Guillermo Almada, Santos head coach.  

With this victory, Santos reached 30 points, leaving behind the Necaxa with 28, who had a by this week, America in third place with 28 units, while those of Vucetich were left with 27 points in the fourth position. 

These teams already have one foot in the big dance, although this is defined until week 19^th.

Santos will travel to the capital on November 2^nd to face América of Miguel Herrera, then receive the Cruz Azul at home on November 18^th  and will close the regular season by visiting Toluca on November 24^th.
