OKLAHOMA CITY – La inscripción en línea para asistencia de calefacción de invierno para el programa de asistencia de energía para hogares de bajos ingresos (LIHEAP) comenzó el 10 de diciembre de 2019. El departamento de servicios humanos de Oklahoma (OKDHS) administra el programa financiado con fondos federales.

Las solicitudes deben completarse en línea en www.OKDHSLive.org.

Los hogares elegibles que ya reciben asistencia pública a través de OKDHS están preautorizados y no necesitan solicitarlos. Los hogares preautorizados ya han sido notificados por correo de EE. UU.

Los hogares no autorizados previamente han sido notificados de la inscripción abierta por correo de EE. UU. Y deben presentar una solicitud en línea en www.OKDHSLive.org.

Si algún miembro del hogar es nativo americano, la solicitud debe hacerse en línea en www.OKDHSLive.org o con la tribu del miembro. Los hogares no pueden recibir asistencia tanto de OKDHS como de una tribu durante el mismo año fiscal federal.

Solo se permite un pago por año por hogar para la asistencia de calefacción de invierno de LIHEAP. El hogar se define como individuos que viven bajo el mismo techo con un medidor de servicios públicos.

Las personas que solicitan deben tener la información más reciente de su factura de calefacción de su proveedor de servicios públicos, identificación personal, número de seguro social y verificación de ingresos.

Help available with heating costs

OKLAHOMA CITY – Online enrollment for winter heating assistance for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) began Dec. 10, 2019. The federally-funded program is administered by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS).

Applications should be completed online at www.OKDHSLive.org.

Eligible households already receiving public assistance through OKDHS are preauthorized and do not need to apply. Preauthorized households have already been notified by U.S. Mail.

Households not preauthorized have been notified of the open enrollment by U.S. Mail and should apply online at www.OKDHSLive.org.

If any household member is Native American, application should be made online at www.OKDHSLive.org or with the member’s tribe. Households cannot receive assistance from both OKDHS and a tribe during the same federal fiscal year.

Only one payment per year per household is allowed for LIHEAP winter heating assistance. Household is defined as individuals living under the same roof with one utility meter.

Households of the following sizes and allowable monthly gross income are eligible for assistance:
One person: $1,354
Two persons: $1,832
Three persons: $2,311
Four persons: $2,790
Five persons: $3,269
Six persons: $3,748
Seven persons: $4,227
Eight persons: $4,705

Persons applying need to have their most recent heating bill information from their utility provider, personal identification (ID), social security number, and verification of income.
