Se enfrentaban el 8, Tigres con 7 puntos en contra el 13, Santos con 5 puntos en el clásiconorteño, en el último partido de la jornada 6 del torneo clausura 2020 de la Liga MXEl TSM albergando más de 23 mil aficionados, quienes esperanzados en su equipo local, los Guerreros, a que funcionaran como equipo y se brindaran en la cancha para ir escalando posiciones en la tabla general.

Arranco el encuentro y Santos volvió a lo que hacía muy bien la temporada pasada, a cerrar el espacio al momento de salir el equipo contrario presionando al portero y sus defensas, unos felinos que estuvieron batallando como salir con pelota controlada.

Santos mantuvo el control la mayor parte del 1er tiempo hasta que al minuto 40 Eduardo Aguirre con una diagonal atrasada que le envió Lozano, remata y logra despejar muy bienNahuel pero en el contra remate fue vencido por el mismo Aguirre.

Misma tónica en el 2do tiempo, Santos insistiendo, al minuto 66 nuevamente el de San Pedro, Coahuila, E Aguirre, a pelota bombeada por J Van Rankin anota de cabeza y el marcador se ponía 2 a 0 en favor de los Guerreros.

Luego al minuto 77 con centro de J Sierra, llega P Gignac y de cabeza vence al Spider J Orozco y la pizarra decía Santos 2, Tigres 1.

Cabe destacar que el irreverente y polémico portero felino N Guzmán, constantemente estuvo metiéndose con la afición local haciendo señas antideportivas, salvándose además de una clara expulsión cuando patea por detrás al atacante lagunero E Aguirre, jugada en el que el VAR no participó a pesar del incesante reclamo de la afición de la comarca.

Por su parte y como ya es costumbre el Tuca Ferreti se la paso manoteando y vociferando con todo el mundo.Con este triunfo del Santos, lleva ya 16 partidos como local sin perder y logrando subir a la posición 9 con ocho puntos mientras el Tigres se mantiene con 7 puntos cayendo al lugar 10 de la tabla general.

Santos viajara a Monterrey para enfrentar a los Rayados este 19 de febrero en el partido de vuelta de los cuartos de final del torneo Copa MX, luego en la misma semana se enfrenta a Cd Juárez, el día 23 de Febrero en el Benito Juárez, mientras los tigres viajan aMéxico para jugar en el estadio Azteca con el Cruz Azul el próximo 22 de febrero.

Corono Stadium hosting more than 23 thousand fans, who were hoping for a win of their local team, the Warriors, to function as well as a team and provide themselves on the pitch wth a win to keep climbing positions in the standings.

From kick off Santos returned to what they did very well last season, to close the space to the opposing team by pressing the goalkeeper and its defenses, Tigres were battling struglling with posession of the ball.

Santos remained in control for most of the 1st half until Eduardo Aguirre in the 40th minute with a backward diagonal that Lozano sent him, finishes and goalkeeper Nahuel manages to clear the ball very well but in the counter shot he was defeated by Aguirre shot.
