Amnistía por infracciones de tránsito / Municipal Court Moving Violation Amnesty Begins Feb. 24

TULSA, OK – El tribunal municipal de Tulsa está ofreciendo una sesión de amnistía para los ciudadanos que tienen citaciones pendientes por violación de tránsito. La amnistía no elimina las multas en sí, pero sí quita los cargos por mora y las tarifas de la orden.

La amnistía por violaciones de tránsito comienza el lunes 24 de febrero de 2020 y termina el viernes 6 de marzo de 2020.

La amnistía se limitará a infracciones de tránsito, que consisten en pasar luces rojas, exceso de velocidad, etc. Hoy en día, la ciudad tiene 10.952 multas de infracción sin pagar, que suman más de 1,2 millones de dólares.

Durante el período de amnistía por violación de tránsito, se permitirá a las personas pagar sus citaciones en su totalidad sin ningún cargo por demora o por orden judicial. Si no puede pagar las multas en su totalidad, los individuos tendrán que ver a un juez para establecer un plan de pago supervisado por el administrador de costos de la corte municipal.

En estos casos, tendrán que sumarse a la lista y tener la oportunidad de ver al juez. Las personas pueden solicitar ver a un juez visitando la oficina de tribunales municipales, registros judiciales, sala 228, entre 8-9 a.m., todos los días.

Sin embargo, hay una excepción a la amnistía. Si la persona tenía una multa que fue evaluada por un juez y el acusado no pagó la multa, no se les permitirá sumarse a la lista de casos y esos casos no serán tratados por la amnistía.

No es necesario que los ciudadanos esperen hasta que el período de amnistía comience para pagar sus boletos pendientes. Usted puede pagar en persona en los dos siguientes lugares:

Municipal Court Moving Violation Amnesty Begins Feb. 24

TULSA, OK — Tulsa Municipal Court is offering an amnesty session for citizens who have outstanding moving violation citations. The amnesty does not remove the fines themselves, but it does take away late fees and warrant fees.

Moving violation amnesty begins Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, and ends Friday, March 6, 2020.

Amnesty will be limited to moving violations, which consist of running red lights, speeding, etc. Today, the City has 10,952 unpaid moving violation tickets, which totals more than $1.2 million.

During the moving violation amnesty period, individuals will be allowed to pay their citations in full without any late fees or warrant fees. If unable to pay fines in full, individuals will need to see a judge to set up a payment plan as supervised by the Municipal Court Cost Administrator. In these cases, individuals will need to add themselves to the docket and have the opportunity to see the judge. Individuals can request to see a judge by visiting the Municipal Courts Office, Court Records, Room 228, between 8-9 a.m. daily.

However, there is an exception to the amnesty. If the individual had a fine that was assessed by a judge and the defendant failed to pay the fine, they will not be allowed to add themselves to the docket and those cases will not be addressed by the amnesty.

Citizens should not wait until the amnesty period begins to pay their outstanding tickets. You can pay in-person at the two following locations:
