Coronavirus en México Todas la categorías quedarán pausadas hasta nuevo
La Liga MX parece haber cedido. El creciente brote del coronavirus a nivel internacional ha puesto en pausa al fútbol mexicano, el cual no continuará al término de la jornada 10 del Clausura 2020.

A través de un comunicado, la Presidencia Ejecutiva de la Liga MX y Ascenso MX informó que luego de hablar con la Secretaría de Salud del Gobierno Federal determinó suspender el torneo actual en todas sus categorías.

El llamado Clásico Joven entre América y Cruz Azul será el último partido que se dispute de este certamen, el cual aun no tiene fecha para renovarse.

La decisión llega luego de que se confirmarán 44 casos del COVID-19 en el territorio mexicano, además de la suspensión de clases en todos los niveles a partir del 20 de marzo, así como cualquier evento público.

“La Presidencia Ejecutiva de la LIGA MX / ASCENSO MX, en estrecha colaboración con la Secretaría de Salud del Gobierno Federal, informa que ha decidido suspender todos los encuentros de la LIGA BBVA MX, ASCENSO BBVA MX y la LIGA BBVA MX Femenil.

La medida aplicará desde el término de la Jornada 10 de la LIGA BBVA MX, que concluye este día con el encuentro entre los Clubes América y Cruz Azul.La Presidencia de la LIGA MX / ASCENSO MX mantendrá una estrecha comunicación con los Clubes, directivos, jugadores e integrantes de nuestras Ligas para hacer frente a cualquier contingencia en materia de salud.

La medida anunciada el día de hoy se mantendrá hasta nuevo aviso y el reinicio de las actividades se determinará en coordinación con la Secretaría de Salud del Gobierno Federal”.

Liga MX suspended due to coronavirus

Liga MX has announced that it will be suspending play indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak, following Sunday’s closed-door games.

The announcement comes a day after the league announced that it would play the remainder of its weekend games behind closed doors, which was also practiced by Liga MX Femenil (Mexico’s top-flight women’s league) and Ascenso MX (Mexico’s second-divison men’s league).

Liga MX is currently 10 matchweeks into the season, with six teams wrapping up the weekend’s activity on Sunday.

The statement released on Sunday said the following:
The executive presidency of the LIGA MX / ASCENSO MX, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Federal Government, reports that it has decided to suspend all meetings of the LIGA BBVA MX, ASCENSO BBVA MX and the LIGA BBVA MX Femenil.

The measure will apply from the end of matchweek 10 of the LIGA BBVA MX, which concludes this day with the meeting between Clubs America and Cruz Azul.

The presidency of the LIGA MX / ASCENSO MX will maintain close communication with the clubs, managers, players and members of our leagues to face any health contingency.

The measure announced today will continue until further notice and the resumption of activities will be determined in coordination with the Ministry of Health of the Federal Government.
