Arkansas arrancó bien en casa ante LSU.

Con goles de Reagan Swindall al minuto 35 y Parker Goins al 56, la escuadra de Colby Hale abrió en casa con victoria por marcador de 2 goles a 0 ante Las Tigres de la Universidad Estatal de Lousiana, LSU.

La afición que se hizo presente a Ciudad Universitaria celebro el llamado de los Jabalís a la altura del minuto 35 cuando Reagan Swindall  mando el balón al fondo de la red después de que Haley Vanfossen cobrara un tiro libre.

“Esta temporada es muy diferente a las anteriores, ya que regularmente tenemos juegos de pretemporada, y ahora entramos directamente a los juegos de conferencia. Para ser nuestro primer juego creo que hicimos cosas muy bien, entre ellas esta la manera como construimos nuestro ataque, y eso nos permitió llegar a los puntos estratégicos de nuestro ataque; contamos con dos volantes que prácticamente dominaron y pusieron el ritmo del partido.” Comento el D.T. Colby Hale.

En la segunda mitad del partido ante LSU, Arkansas quería mas; fue a la altura del minuto 56 cuando Ava Tankersley mando un balón al área chica para que Parker Goins de pierna derecha mandar el esférico al fondo de la red para el 2-0 definitivo.

El próximo rival de Arkansas serán Las Gatas Salvajes de Kentucky, equipo que Hale ya tiene en la mira. “Kentucky es un rival muy bueno, ante Vandelbilt quienes ganaron la Conferencia del Este el ano anterior los tenias 2-0 al medio tiempo. Un equipo que cuenta con muchos jugadores internacionales. Pero la verdad es que cada vez que juegas de visitante en la Conferencia Sureste (SEC) los partidos se te pueden complicar, y nosotros tenemos que jugar bien y hacer nuestra parte, y si logramos hacer nuestro futbol tendremos la oportunidad de sacar un resultado positivo.” Agrego Colby.

Arkansas cuenta con un buen equipo, y haber logrado llegar a la final de La Conferencia Sureste (SEC) por cuatro anos consecutivos es una muy buena marca. Las Jabalís aun no cuentan con una jugadora internacional Latina de renombre, cosa que Colby Hale tiene en la mira, no solo para lograr el sueno de ganar en SEC pero también lograr el campeonato nacional de la NCAA. “Seguimos buscando las mejores jugadoras que puedan jugar dentro de nuestro sistema, y que llenen las características de nuestro programa, y esperamos poder conectarnos con esas jugadoras y ojala lo logremos.” Concluyo el timonel de Arkansas, Colby Hale.

With goals from Reagan Swindall in the 35th minute and Parker Goins in the 56th minute, Colby Hale’s squad opened at home with a 2-0 win LSU Tigers. 

The fans that came to support The Razorbacks celebrated by Calling The Hogs at the 35th minute when Reagan Swindall sent the ball to the back of the net after Haley Vanfossen took a free kick. 

“This season is very different from the previous ones, as we regularly have preseason games, and now we go straight into conference games. To be our first game, I think we did things very well, including the way we built our attack, and that allowed us to reach the strategic points of our attack; We have two midfielders who practically dominated and set the pace for the game. ” I comment the D.T. Colby Hale. 

In the second half of the game against LSU, Arkansas wanted more; It was at the 56th minute when Ava Tankersley sent a ball into the small area so that Parker Goins with her right leg sent the ball to the back of the net for the final 2-0. 

Arkansas’ next rival will be Kentucky’s Wildcats, a team Hale already is already getting ready for. “Kentucky is a very good opponent, against Vandelbilt who won the Eastern Conference last year they had them 2-0 at halftime. A team that has international players. But the truth is that every time you play on the road in the SEC, games can get complicated for you. We have to play well and do our part, and if we manage to do that; we will have the opportunity to get a positive result. ” Colby added. 

Arkansas has a good team, and making the Southeastern Conference (SEC) finals four years in a row is a big accomplishement. The Razorbacks  still do not have a big international Latina player, something Colby Hale might be missing, not only to achieve the dream of winning in the SEC but also to win the NCAA national championship. “We continue to search for the best players who fit our system, and who fulfill the characteristics of our program, and we hope to be able to connect with those players.” Arkansas Head Soccer Coach Colby Hale concluded.
