Ricky Martin será parte de la película «Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey»

SAN JUAN.- El artista puertorriqueño Ricky Martin formará parte del grupo de actores que participarán en la película musical navideña «Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey», una producción de Netflix que se espera para finales de este año.

El puertorriqueño interpretará al villano Don Juan Diego en la producción de Netflix.

«Es un honor formar parte de esta increíble producción», señaló el artista puertorriqueño para confirmar su participación en el proyecto, tal y como se refleja en su cuenta de la red social de twitter.

El artista participará en la producción junto a Keegan-Michael Key, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Forest Whitaker y Madalen Mills.

La película, escrita y dirigida por David E. Talbert, cuenta con canciones originales de John Legend, Philip Lawrence, Davy Nathan y el tema «This Day», interpretadas por Usher y Kiana Ledé.

El filme, que está ambientado en la ciudad de Cobbleton, se centra en la historia del fabricante de juguetes Jeronicus Jangle (Whitaker) y sus inventos extravagantes.

El problema estalla cuando un aprendiz roba uno de sus más preciados juguetes, lo que provoca que sea ayudado por su nieta y de un viejo invento para solucionar el problema.

La película, escrita y dirigida por David E. Talbert, se estrenará el próximo 13 de noviembre.

Ricky Martin joins the cast of ‘Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey’

The 48-year-old singer will star alongside Keegan-Michael Key, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Forest Whitaker and Madalen Mills in the upcoming live-action musical film from Netflix, which is being written and directed by David E. Talbert, Deadline reports.

Motion capture technology is being used to assist Martin in playing Don Juan Diego, a 12-inch matador, in the film.

Previously announcing the movie, Netflix said: “A musical adventure and a visual spectacle for the ages, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey is a wholly fresh and spirited family holiday event.
