Meet Santa in Broken Arrow on Dec. 6
BROKEN ARROW, OK — The Rose District is hosting a socially distanced “Meet and Greet with Santa Claus.”
The event will take place on Sunday, December 6 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Rose District Pavilion.
This year the experience will look a little different, but organizers promise it will be just as fun. With safety in mind, Santa will be socially distanced.
The City of Broken Arrow has built two sleighs. Santa will be in one and guests will be in the second sleigh that is just 6 feet in front of him. Staff will be sanitizing the sleigh between each party, and each party is asked to put on hand sanitizer before entering the photo op spot.
The waiting queue will also look different this year, featuring a virtual queue. When a party arrives to see Santa, they will check in with one of the elves at the check-in desk and they will put you in the virtual queue. Now guests can go shopping, hang out at the ice rink, or grab hot chocolate until they receive a text message prompting them it is time to get in the physical line. There will be approximately 3 – 5 parties in the physical line at a time.
Photos for purchase will be available by Rose District photographer Curtis Sprague.
CDC guidelines will be in place. If you or a member of your party are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed, organizers ask that you refrain from attending this celebration.
