Gathering Place y TPD se unen para donación de juguetes navideños / Gathering Place, TPD host Holiday Toy Drive

TULSA, OK – Gathering Place se ha asociado con el Departamento de Policía de Tulsa (TPD) y la Fundación del Departamento de Policía de Tulsa para organizar una colecta de juguetes navideña (Drive-Thru Holiday Toy Drive) para apoyar los Actos de bondad aleatorios de TPD en esta temporada navideña. La colecta comenzó el lunes 30 de noviembre, finalizará el viernes 11 de diciembre y se llevará a cabo desde las 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 PM. Los habitantes de Tulsa pueden dejar juguetes nuevos sin envolver desde la seguridad de su vehículo conduciendo por Williams Lodge Loop en Gathering Place. Las donaciones de juguetes también serán aceptadas en el mostrador de Servicios al Huésped ubicado dentro del Williams Lodge durante el horario normal del Parque.

Todas las donaciones de juguetes recolectadas durante las dos semanas de TPD Holiday Toy Drive beneficiarán a Random Acts of Kindness de TPD y brindarán a los oficiales la oportunidad de sorprender a los niños de Tulsa con regalos durante la temporada de fiestas.

“Esta campaña no solo impactará a los niños que reciben estos juguetes para navidad, sino que también impactará a nuestros oficiales a medida que vayan encontrando a los que más necesitan en nuestra comunidad”, dice Roger Chasteen, Presidente de la Fundación TPD. “Nada de esto sería posible si no fuera por la generosidad de los ciudadanos de Tulsa. La colecta de juguetes de TPD se llevará a cabo con especial atención para garantizar la seguridad de todos. Gathering Place pide que cuando entregue juguetes nuevos sin envolver, observe las pautas de salud y seguridad, como usar una máscara, mantener la distancia social y permanecer en el vehículo.

“2020 ha sido un año desafiante en muchos frentes”, dice Tony Moore, director ejecutivo de Gathering Place. “Gracias al Departamento de Policía de Tulsa por encontrar la manera de llevar alegría navideña a los niños de la ciudad que más lo necesitan”.

Gathering Place, TPD host Holiday Toy Drive

TULSA, OK – Gathering Place has partnered with the Tulsa Police Department (TPD) and the Tulsa Police Department Foundation to host a Drive-Thru Holiday Toy Drive to support TPD’s Random Acts of Kindness this holiday season. The TPD Holiday Toy Drive began on Monday, November 30th, and will run from 11:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. through Friday, December 11th. Tulsans are welcome to drop off new, unwrapped toys from the safety of their vehicle by driving through the Williams Lodge Loop at Gathering Place. Toy donations will also be accepted at the Guest Services desk located inside the Williams Lodge during normal Park hours.

All toy donations collected during the two-week TPD Holiday Toy Drive will benefit TPD’s Random Acts of Kindness and provide officers the opportunity to surprise Tulsa kids with toy gifts during the holiday season.

“This toy drive won’t just impact the kids who receive these toys for Christmas but it will also impact our officers as they go out and find those in our community with the greatest needs,” says Roger Chasteen, TPD Foundation Chairman. “None of this could be possible if it wasn’t for the generosity of citizens in Tulsa. It is an honor to support our officers and citizens alike during the holiday season.”

The TPD Holiday Toy Drive will be carried out with special attention to ensure everyone’s safety. Gathering place asks that when dropping off new, unwrapped toy gifts, please observe health and safety guidelines, like wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and remaining in the vehicle.

“2020 has indeed been a challenging year on so many fronts,” says Tony Moore, Executive Director of Gathering Place. “Thank you Tulsa Police Department for still finding a way to bring holiday joy to Tulsa kids who need it most.”
