Fiesta de Cinco de Mayo en el Rose District de Broken Arrow / Cinco de Mayo Rose District Festival coming to Broken Arrow May 8th
BROKEN ARROW – El Rose District de Broken Arrow y Supermercados Morelos se unen para organizar la Fiesta del Cinco de Mayo el 8 de Mayo. The Rose District, en asociación con Vega & Treviño Consultants y Supermercados Morelos, traen de nuevo la Fiesta del 5 de Mayo. Supermercados Morelos es la cadena de supermercados hispanos más grande de Oklahoma, y abrirá su próximo local en Broken Arrow.
La comunidad está invitada a celebrar la cultura hispana el sábado 8 de mayo de 2:00 pm a 9:00 pm. Habrá auténtica comida mexicana, baile, música, compras, una zona para niños y más.
La ciudad de Broken Arrow busca impactar positivamente a la comunidad en general asegurándose de que haya autenticidad e inclusión de proveedores y entretenimiento, para celebrar a la minoría de más rápido crecimiento de Oklahoma, la comunidad hispana. Para lograr esto, se ha contratado a Vega & Treviño Consultants para ayudar con la obtención de proveedores, actos de entretenimiento y opciones de comida arraigadas directamente en la comunidad hispana.
“Nos alegra cuando los dirigentes de una ciudad toman la iniciativa de respetar nuestra cultura”, dijo Francisco Treviño, de Vega & Treviño Consultants. “El 5 de mayo se ha convertido en una oportunidad para hacer dinero explotando la cultura hispana, pero la ciudad de Broken Arrow se quiere asegurar de ser respetuosos de la cultura celebrando lo auténtico; esto es justo el tipo de liderazgo que pone un buen ejemplo cuando hablamos de ser inclusivos de la diversidad”.
Se implementarán las pautas de los CDC. Si usted o un miembro de su grupo está mostrando síntomas de COVID-19 o ha estado expuesto, los organizadores del evento solicitan que se abstenga de asistir a esta celebración.

Cinco de Mayo Rose District Festival coming to Broken Arrow May 8th
BROKEN ARROW — The Rose District of Broken Arrow and Morelos Supermarkets are joining together to host the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on May 8th. The Rose District, in association with Vega & Treviño Consultants and Supermercados Morelos, brings back the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta for 2021. Supermercados Morelos is the largest Hispanic supermarket chain in Oklahoma, and will open its next location in Broken Arrow.
The community is invited to celebrate Hispanic culture on Saturday, May 8, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be authentic Mexican food, dancing, music, shopping, a children’s area, and more.
The City of Broken Arrow seeks to positively impact the broader community by ensuring that there is authenticity and inclusiveness of vendors and entertainment, and to celebrate Oklahoma’s fastest growing minority, the Hispanic community. To accomplish this, Vega & Treviño Consultants have been contracted to assist with sourcing vendors, entertainment events, and food options rooted directly in the Hispanic community.
“We are happy when city leaders take the initiative to respect our culture,” said Francisco Treviño, from Vega & Treviño Consultants. “May 5 has become an opportunity to make money by exploiting Hispanic culture, but the city of Broken Arrow wants to make sure they are respectful of the culture by celebrating the authentic; this is just the kind of leadership that sets a good example when we talk about being inclusive of diversity.”
