El Real Madrid, rey de Europa con sus 13 títulos, jugará en cuartos de la Champions con el Liverpool, ganador del torneo en 2019, reeditando la final que ambos disputaron en 2018, con victoria del lado español, según el sorteo celebrado este viernes en la sede de la UEFA de Nyon (Suiza).

En las otras eliminatorias de la Champions, el PSG jugará con el vigente campeón, el Bayern de Múnich, en una reedición de la final 2020, el Oporto se enfrentará al Chelsea y el Manchester City chocará con el Borussia Dortmund.

Sorteo de Champions
La UEFA organizó un sorteo puro -los ocho clubes podían enfrentarse- que además determinó los cuadros para las semifinales. El ganador del due­lo entre el Real Madrid y el Liverpool jugará con el vencedor del Oporto-Chelsea.

El otro finalista saldrá del choque entre el ganador de los supervivientes del PSG-Bayern y del City-Dortmund.

La ida de cuartos se jugará entre el 6 y el 7 de abril, y la vuelta una semana más tarde.

Las semifinales se disputarán entre el 27-28 de abril y el 4-5 de mayo. La final de la Champions está prevista el 29 de ese mes en el Estadio Olímpico Atatürk, en Estambul.

This season’s last eight fixtures includes repeats of two very recent UCL finals. In 2018 Real Madrid won their third consecutive European title under Zinedine Zidane, overcoming Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool side that was growing in stature and would go onto lift the trophy in the following year. Don’t be suprised if a common narrative is over the Ramos-Salah incident that many believe was the key to Los Blancos turning the flow of that previous final.

Another final rerun is brought to us with Bayern Munich against Paris Saint-Germain. A Kylian Mbappé led PSG looked to have finally reached their holy grail last season but fell at the final hurdle against the all-conquering Germans. Robert Lewandowski maintains his crown as the king of strikers, but the French youngster looks ready to take over the throne.

The winners of QF3 (Bayern Munich v PSG) will face the winners of QF1 (Manchester City v Borussia Dortmund) in the semi-finals. The winners of QF4 (Real Madrid v Liverpool) will face the winners of QF2 (Porto Chelsea).
