Checo Pérez: “Necesito paz y paciencia”

El piloto tapatío señaló lo que le falta para cumplir con las exigencias de Red Bull. Asimismo, confesó que confía plenamente en la palabra de Horner y Marko.

Checo no tiene problemas en apoyar a Verstappen
Desde que Pérez firmó para Red Bull se sabía que jugaría el rol de segundo piloto, pues los de Milton Keynes apuestan todo por Max Verstappen que pelea por el mundial de pilotos contra Lewis Hamilton. Respecto a si está dispuesto a sacrificar sus resultados en beneficio de Verstappen, como sucedió en Italia, Sergio dijo:

“Es obvio que Max en nuestro equipo es el que busca el título este año. En ese sentido, todo el equipo debe y lo ayudará. Al mismo tiempo, también estamos luchando por el campeonato de constructores y, por supuesto, hay que tenerlo en cuenta. Por lo tanto, la división de roles depende un poco de los escenarios que encontremos durante un fin de semana de carreras. Checo no se preocupa por 2023
Tras el parón veraniego de la Fórmula 1, la renovación de Checo Pérez con Red Bull para 2022 fue confirmada. Sin embargo, para el 2023 su permanencia con la escudería aún no es segura pues están nombres como Alexander Albon y Pierre Gasly, quienes desean regresar a la butaca del equipo. Ante ello, el tapatío no se preocupa y asegura que confía plenamente en la palabra de Christian Horner, jefe del equipo, y Helmut Marko, principal asesor.

“Realmente no me importa mucho. Ni siquiera es algo en lo que pienso para ser honesto. No debería.
