Con la clasificación de Ecuador y Uruguay son ya 19 las selecciones que aseguraron su presencia en el Mundial de Qatar 2022.

De acuerdo con el diario Marca, este parón va a seguir completando cupos de cara a la cita mundialista. A la clasificación oficial de Arabia Saudí y Japón siguió la sorpresa de la eliminación de Italia ante Macedonia del Norte. Más tarde sellaron su pasaporte los ecuatorianos, pese a perder en Paraguay, y uruguayos, tras ganar 1-0 a Perú con polémica.

Por ahora, Qatar (anfitriona) encabeza la lista de selecciones que acudirán a la fase final del Mundial que se disputará del 21 de noviembre al 18 de diciembre de 2022. Los asiáticos serán sí o sí cabezas de serie, mientras que el resto dependerá del Ránking FIFA que se confeccione el 31 de marzo. Estas son las selecciones que ya están en el torneo:

With 19 teams now qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, this international break will continue to complete qualification for the tournament.

After Saudi Arabia and Japan officially qualified on Thursday morning, teams from Europe, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF and Africa are now looking to qualify too during the March international break.

In fact, Friday night saw Ecuador and Uruguay book their ticket for Qatar as part of CONMEBOL qualification.

For now, Qatar (as hosts) are at the top of the list of teams already qualified for this winter’s 2022 World Cup. They will be seeded, while the rest will depend on the FIFA ranking.
