El Tri afrontará la Copa del Mundo como el decimotercer lugar de la clasificación

Estamos a casi un mes de que arranque la Copa del Mundo Qatar 2022 y la FIFA como es costumbre, publicó el ranking con el cual se dará inició al evento más importante del balompié. La mala noticia para la selección mexicana es que descendieron un puesto en esta clasificación, por lo que llegarán a la justa ubicados en el decimotercera posición.

Después de la última Fecha FIFA en la que el Tri venció a Perú y sucumbió ante Colombia, pasó del lugar 12 al 13 en el ranking mundial; la Croacia de Luka Modric y finalista en Rusia 2018 fue quien superó a México en la clasificación.

Pese a este tropiezo, México sigue siendo la selección mejor ubicada de la Concacaf, pues Estados Unidos retrocedió dos puestos para ubicarse en el lugar 16; en tanto que Costa Rica y Canadá tuvieron un progreso para colocarse en la posición 31 y 41, respectivamente.

La Brasil de Neymar es quien se mantiene como líder del ranking de cara al Mundial con 1841 puntos y el resto del top tres lo completan Bélgica con 1816 y Argentina, rival del Tri en Qatar con 1773. Francia, vigente campeón del mundo, se ubica en el cuarto puesto con 1759 unidades.

Cabe recordar que el próximo ranking de la FIFA se publicará el 22 de diciembre, una vez que haya terminado Qatar 2022.
