Por agredir a dos víctimas con un bate y un arma de fuego

TULSA, OK – Un hombre que irrumpió en una casa de Broken Arrow y agredió a una mujer y un hombre en 2017 fue sentenciado el viernes en un tribunal federal, anunció el fiscal federal Clint Johnson.

El juez de distrito Gregory K. Frizzell sentenció a Louis Clayton Chaffin, de 45 años, de Tahlequah, a 84 meses en una prisión federal seguidos de dos años de libertad supervisada.

Chaffin se declaró previamente culpable de robo en primer grado y de tres cargos de agresión con arma peligrosa con intención de causar lesiones corporales en Indian Country.

“Louis Chaffin irrumpió en una vivienda empuñando un bate y una pistola. A continuación agredió a dos víctimas, hiriéndolas gravemente. Afortunadamente, el incidente se calmó cuando el propietario de la casa intervino y lo detuvo”, declaró Johnson.

Chaffin admitió que el 9 de diciembre de 2017 irrumpió en la vivienda pateando la puerta principal y mientras portaba un bate de béisbol de aluminio y una pistola de 9 mm. Chaffin golpeó al hombre y a la mujer con el bate repetidamente. Apuntó al hombre con la pistola y le golpeó con ella en la cara. El incidente no terminó hasta que otro individuo, el propietario de la vivienda, sacó su propia pistola y ordenó a Chaffin que se marchara.

A consecuencia de la agresión, la víctima masculina sufrió fracturas faciales y craneales. La mujer sufrió una conmoción cerebral a causa de la paliza, y su cara requirió posteriormente numerosos puntos de sutura.

For Assaulting Two Victims with a Bat and Firearm

TULSA, OK — A defendant who broke into a Broken Arrow home and assaulted a woman and man in 2017 was sentenced Friday in federal court, announced U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson.

U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell sentenced Louis Clayton Chaffin, 45, of Tahlequah, to 84 months in federal prison followed by two years of supervised release.

Chaffin previously pleaded guilty to first degree burglary in Indian Country and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm in Indian Country.

“Louis Chaffin broke into a home wielding a bat and gun. He then assaulted two victims, seriously injuring them. Fortunately, the incident was deescalated when the homeowner stepped in and stopped him,” said Johnson.

Chaffin admitted that on Dec. 9, 2017, he broke into the home by kicking in the front door and while carrying an aluminum baseball bat and a 9mm pistol. Chaffin struck the man and woman with the bat repeatedly. He pointed the gun at the man and pistol whipped him in the face. The incident only ended after another individual, the homeowner, took out his own gun and ordered Chaffin to leave.

As a result of the assault, the male victim suffered broken facial bones and a fractured skull. The female victim suffered a concussion from the beating, and her face later required numerous stitches.
