London Boots, un sueño de botas / London Boots, an immigrant’s dream born from scarcity

Los inmigrantes suelen tener sueños grandiosos por los que luchan y pelean contra todos los molinos de viento, pero ninguno más curioso que el de Jaime Aguirre dueño de London Boots una fábrica de botas de cuero que está abriéndose camino por todo el pais.

“Tenemos el sueño del negocio desde el 2013, y lo logramos en el 2022”, aseguró Aguirre, sobre ese deseo que se iniciara en su Guanajuato natal, y diez años después se convirtiera en un éxito aquí en Estados Unidos.

London Boots surgió de una carencia, un grupo de pequeños con ganas de tener lo que nadie, un par de botas. Y hoy, ofrece calzado accesible y de calidad para que todos puedan lucir bien. “Desde niños nos encantaba mirar con mis hermanos a las personas bien cambiaditas con sus botas y sus charros; nosotros no teníamos nada. Y ahí nació la idea, y creció día a día, hasta convertirse en un negocio familiar.  Empezamos con zapatos, luego botas, accesorios y hoy, de todo”, contó Aguirre.

La fábrica central se encuentra en Waco, Texas, desde donde distribuyen a todo el país, con mercados firmes en Kansas, Minnesota, Arkansas, Tulsa y Oklahoma City. “Son todos estados de cowboys, baile y fiesta y les encanta nuestro producto y calidad”, reconoció Aguirre, asegurando que nunca en la vida le han devuelto un par de zapatos.

En Tulsa, la tienda principal se emplaza en la calle 20 esquina Garnett, donde cinco personas están diariamente listas para servir al cliente más exigente.

“Contamos con botas de $189 a $600, las más caras son las de pescado, porque tienen colores especiales y son más delicadas por las escamas. También trabajamos con otros materiales como reptiles de todo Estados Unidos y México”, aseguró.

Otro producto destacado son los cintos, cincelados y con llaves de plata confeccionados a mano. “Se tardan dos meses en fabricar y utilizamos plata 925, lo que hace que cada cinto sea especial y destacado”, dijo Aguirre.

London Boots es una empresa de hermanos en donde cada quien ocupa su lugar, y todos marchan hacia adelante en la misma dirección y esa es la clave de su éxito.

“Esto es pura unión, porque el buen trabajo se hace en equipo, es lo fundamental, si sabes trabajar en equipo creces exponencialmente”, reconoció su dueño.

Próximamente Aguirre espera continuar posicionando su marca y distribuyendo sus productos hasta los lugares más recónditos, mientras tanto los espera en su tienda para que a nadie le falte una bota de calidad, al mejor de los precios. “Si quiere unas botas exóticas y de buena calidad, los esperamos en London Boots”. Immigrants come to America with great dreams for which they are willing to fight even quixotic windmills, but none of them seems more unique that the one of Jaime Aguirre, owner of London Boots, a leather boots factory on its way to success.

“We had this dream since 2013 and made it possible in 2022,” said Aguirre about a desire born across the border, in the town of Guanajuato, and ten years later became a brand in Oklahoma.

It all started with a need and a group of children that wanted to have something they could not buy — boots.

“When we were young, we loved to watch fancy people, all dressed up with their leather shoes or boots because we had nothing like that. So, the idea pops up, and grew each day until it became a family business. We started with shoes, then boots and accessories,” said Aguirre.

The dream is now a reality, and London Boots sells shoes of the best quality at the best price so that everyone can afford it.

The central factory is located at Waco, Texas, from where they distribute the product to the rest of the country, with big clients in Kansas, Minnesota, Arkansas, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City.

“These are all cowboy states where the people like dancing and partying and love the quality of our boots,” explained Aguirre, adding that no client has ever returned a pair of shoes.

In Tulsa the main store is located at 20th and Garnett, where five people work every day to bring joy and boots to the most demanding customers.

“We have boots from $189 to $600. The most expensive are those made of fish, which have special colors and require extra skill with the scales. But we also work with other materials such as lizards from the whole country and Mexico,” stated the businessman.

Another classic at London Boots are the sophisticated leather and silver belts, completely handmade. “It takes two months to tailor them, and we always use silver 925. Each belt is unique and like no other,” said Aguirre.

London Boots belongs to a band of brothers that know how to work together to make their dream prosper, and that is the real key to success.

“This is pure unity — good jobs are done in teams, and it is essential to learn how to work with others because it allows you to grow exponentially,” recognized the businessman.

Aguirre hopes to see London Boots in the strangest and unimaginable places, making it grow until it can no more. Meanwhile he awaits the Tulsa customers at his store, to make sure everyone has a good pair of boots at home, obtained for a good and fair price.
