Chicago (EE.UU.), 7 abr (EFE).- Kenti Robles, líder de la selección femenina mexicana y del Real Madrid, aseguró este viernes en una entrevista con EFE que sueña con llevar el escudo del Tri en el Mundial de 2027 y que se encuentra en un momento de ensueño, al guiar a su equipo en la primera gira de su historia por Estados Unidos y al ser parte del club madridista, que considera “el mejor del mundo”.

Robles se encuentra concentrada en Chicago con la selección de México, que encara la primera edición del ‘Mex Tour F’ con dos partidos contra las Red Stars este sábado en Chicago y contra las Dash el martes 11 en Houston.

Se siente “en una familia” en el grupo dirigido por el técnico español Pedro López y considera que el fútbol femenino ha dado “pasos agigantados” en los últimos cinco años.

Jugará el sábado en el SeatGeek Stadium de Chicago, donde hay una comunidad de un millón de mexicanos a los que espera inspirar con su pasión por el fútbol. Respuesta: Acercamos la selección a Estados Unidos, a sitios donde hay muchísimos mexicanos. Yo encantadísima una vez más de poder portar este escudo. En el aspecto de juego van a ser partidos muy vistoso para el espectador, le van a servir muchísimos a (el técnico) Pedro (López) para implementar nuestra idea de juego. Queremos llegar a poner a México dónde tiene que estar.

P: En Chicago hay una comunidad de un millón de mexicanos. ¿Cómo vive su rol de inspiradora para las jóvenes generaciones?

R: Cuando llevamos este escudo es una responsabilidad y un honor. Tenemos que ser un ejemplo para inspirar a las nuevas generaciones, y no solo a ellas, a todas las personas de distintas edades.
