por Paul Reidy – Con un partido por del final en la temporada de Clausura de la Liga MX, miramos qué equipos han asegurado los lugares de play-off y repechaje.

Con solo una jornada restante, la fase de la temporada regular de la temporada Clausura 2023 está llegando y después de que la competencia comenzara el pasado mes de enero, el mes de mayo revelará quién será coronado campeón mexicano de Clausura 2023 siguiendo el sistema de playoffs.

Esta es la última temporada corta con el sistema “repechaje” donde los 12 mejores equipos (de una liga compuesta por 18 clubes) avanzan a la postemporada e increíblemente el equipo que termina 12o en la liga, podría ser coronado campeón.

Clausura 2023: Los cuatro primeros

Conocemos los nombres de tres de los cuatro equipos que se han asegurado un lugar en los playoffs con un partido restante y después de los partidos de este fin de semana, los toppers de mesa Rayados, Club America y Chivas han perforado sus entradas para un lugar automático en los playoffs. El último lugar será una batalla entre Toluca (actualmente en cuarto lugar) y el campeón del Apertura 2022 Pachuca con los Red Devils con una ventaja de un punto sobre Tuzos.

Liga MX Clausura 2023: who’s in, who’s out, playoff places

With just one matchday remaining, the regular season phase of the Clausura 2023 season is coming to and after the competition kicked-off last January, the month of May is set to reveal who will be crowned Clausura 2023 Mexican champions following the playoff system.

This is set to be the final short season with the ‘repechaje’ system where the top 12 teams (out of a league composed of 18 clubs) advance to the postseason and incredibly the team that finishes 12th in the league, could feasibly be crowned champions.

Clausura 2023: Top Four

We know the names of three of the four teams that have secured a playoff place with one game remaining and after this weekend’s games, table toppers Rayados, Club America and Chivas have punched their tickets for an automatic playoff place. The final spot will be a battle between Toluca (currently in fourth) and 2022 Apertura champions Pachuca with the Red Devils holding a one point advantage over Tuzos.

Repechaje bound

Toluca/Pachuca along with Leon, Tigres and Cruz Azul have all secured a top 12 finish with the other four spaces still to be decided on the final matchday. Atlas, Santos Laguna, Pumas and San Luis currently hold positions 9-12 and are favourites for a place in the repechaje, however, results on the last day still offer Puebla, Xolos and even Juarez all with an outside shot of securing a place in the top 12 with Queretaro ineligible to secure a place in the repechaje.
