Un hombre de Ohio, Estados Unidos, que enfrenta un juicio por estar acusado de asesinar a balazos a sus tres hijos pequeños admitió haber planeado los homicidios y haberlos puesto en fila antes de ejecutarlos con un rifle, informaron los fiscales.

Los agentes encontraron a los tres niños, de 3, 4 y 7 años, fuera de la casa con heridas de bala y trataron de salvarles la vida, pero ellos fallecieron en el lugar.

El asesino, identificado como Chad Doerman, de 32 años, quien también fue acusado de herir a disparos a la madre de los niños en la casa de la familia, fue acusado de homicidio agravado, dijeron las autoridades.

El fiscal jefe del Tribunal Municipal del condado de Clermont, David Gast, dijo durante la lectura de cargos de Doerman el pasado viernes que uno de los menores trató de huir a un campo cercano, pero que Doerman literalmente lo “cazó” y lo llevó de regreso a su casa antes de matarlo.

Las autoridades no revelaron un motivo detrás de los tiroteos.

Gast calificó los asesinatos como “el peor crimen del que jamás había sabido”.

“Este es, con mucho, el crimen más repugnante y horrible que he visto. Solo puedo imaginar el terror que estos niños pequeños sintieron y experimentaron cuando su padre, su protector, los estaba asesinando”, dijo el fiscal del condado de Clermont, Mark Tekulve, según WKRC-TV, afiliada de CBS.

Actualmente, se encuentra recluido en la cárcel del condado de Clermont, región de un estado en el que, como en otros 26, existe la pena de muerte.

An Ohio man facing trial on charges of shooting his three young children to death has admitted planning the killings and lining them up before executing them with a rifle, prosecutors said.

Agents found the three children, ages 3, 4 and 7, outside the home with gunshot wounds and tried to save their lives, but they died at the scene.

The killer, identified as 32-year-old Chad Doerman, who was also accused of fatally shooting the children’s mother at the family’s home, was charged with aggravated murder, authorities said.

Clermont County Municipal Court Chief Prosecutor David Gast said at Doerman’s arraignment last Friday that one of the boys tried to flee into a nearby field, but that Doerman literally “hunted” him and forced him to return to his house before killing the boy.

Authorities did not disclose a motive behind the shootings.

Gast called the murders “the worst crime I’ve ever known about.”

“This is by far the most disgusting and horrible crime I have ever seen. I can only imagine the terror these young children felt and experienced when their father, their protector, was murdering them,” said Clermont County District Attorney Mark Tekulve, according to CBS affiliate WKRC-TV.

“They held these kids knowing there was nothing they could do,” Gast said. “How come you don’t see that kind of abomination?” 

Law enforcement officers responded to the Monroe Township home shortly before 4:30 p.m. Thursday after receiving a pair of calls to the 911 emergency number, in in which a woman, presumably the mother of the children, shouted that “her babies had been shot” and another from a motorist who said he saw a girl running down the street saying that her father was killing people, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Bail was set for Doerman at $20 million. Court records did not indicate whether he was represented by a lawyer at his arraignment. He is currently being held in the Clermont County Jail, a region of a state that, like 26 others, has the death penalty.
