Con paso firme la Selección Mexicana derrotó a Haití 1-3 y ya se encuentra del otro lado en la Copa Oro, pues es líder del Grupo B y aún le falta enfrentar a Qatar; sin embargo, el Tri puede respirar porque superó la primera ronda del torneo de la Concacaf con Jaime Lozano como director técnico interino.

Aunque el primer gol tardó en caer, fue al minuto 46 cuando Henry Martín puso el primero, luego vino un autogol por parte de Ricardo Adé al 56 y al final llegó Santiago Giménez para poner el último tanto por parte del equipo mexicano porque Danley Jean Jacques hizo lo propio al minuto 78 para descontar.

Cabe señalar que el conjunto azteca sufrió un poco porque Haití demostró tener un buen poder defensivo el cual funcionó durante toda la primera mitad porque México no cesó en atacar; sin embargo, no logró hacer daño, pese a que tenía el control de las acciones, por lo que el equipo de Jaime Lozano replanteó en el descanso y salió más incisivo en el segundo tiempo para definir al ganador de este encuentro.

Ahora, el equipo mexicano ya está del otro lado porque es líder del Grupo B con 6 puntos y aún le falta afrontar su último partido en contra de Qatar, mientras que Haití se medirán a Honduras para definir al segundo calificado a la siguiente ronda de la Copa Oro.
