«Le enseño la película a los nuevos directivos de Disney, mis amigos de Fox estaban fuera, y el grupo fue honesto y me dijeron ‘esta pelicula no es para Disney», relató Verástegui.

Angel Studios, la empresa que salvó la película

The company already had a release date after being impressed with the ‘first look’. “They were passionate about the project. Suddenly they tell me ‘We released the film on July 4th. You’ve been waiting 8 years, trust us’. And it came out on Independence Day in the United States, just on the day of freedom. It is a film that raises awareness.”

After seeing the reaction of the people with sound of freedomEduardo Verastegui It went ahead with the distribution, despite the fact that some movie theaters were taken from it, because Indiana Jones, a Disney movie, was being released. –

“It was Disney against two Mexicans. We went all the same, they with 2,000 rooms more than us, we only advertised on social networks and this was the result. Thank you very much”, concluded the producer who did not stop thanking the attendees who positioned the tape as the most watched, surpassing a fifth of Indiana Jones.
