Shakira triunfa en Premios Juventud con ocho galardones

POR EFE – SAN JUAN.-La cantante colombiana Shakira se alzó este jueves como la máxima ganadora de la vigésima edición de los Premios Juventud en Puerto Rico con ocho galardones, seguida por Karol G y Peso Pluma, ambos con cinco.

«Esta isla que adoro y encontrarme con todos ustedes y recibir todo esto, gracias de verdad«, declaró la artista.

Shakira mandó un mensaje de agradecimiento a todos sus seguidores, resaltando que son su «mayor suerte».

Durante la gala, Shakira obtuvo los premios a Mejor Canción Pop/Urbano (por «Shakira: BZRP Music Sessions #53»), Artista Premios Juventud Femenina, Mejor Canción para Mi Ex («TQG»), Girl Power («TQG») , Mejor Urban Track («TQG»), Mejor Colaboración Pop Urbano, Tropical Mix y Social Dance Challenge.

También recibió el reconocimiento «Agente de Cambio» por su extensa labor en transformar comunidades desde hace 23 años a través de su Fundación Pies Descalzos, galardón que también se llevó la cantante cubano-estadounidense Camila Cabello.

Shakira triumphs at Premios Juventud with eight awards

Shakira rose last night (July 20) as the top winner of the twentieth edition of the Premios Juventud with eight awards, reported EFE. Behind her were Karol G and Featherweight, both with five awards.

“This island that I adore and meeting all of you and receiving all of this, truly thank you,” declared the artist, dressed in a red dress and heels before a packed Coliseum of Puerto Rico in San Juan, the scene of the gala.

Shakira also sent a message of thanks to all her followers, emphasizing that they are her “greatest luck”.

During the gala of this Univision network event, Shakira won the awards for Best Pop/Urban Song (for “Shakira: BZRP Music Sessions #53”), Artist Premios Juventud Femenina, Best Song for My Ex (“TQG”), Girl Power (“TQG”), Best Urban Track (“TQG”), Best Urban Pop Collaboration, Tropical Mix and Social Dance Challenge.

He also received the “Change Agent” recognition for his extensive work in transforming communities for 23 years through his Pies Descalzos Foundation, an award that was also won by Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello.

“There are realities that cannot be filtered or made up. There are places where people who are born poor die poor because they don’t have a chance”, denounced Shakira after going on stage for the second time.

For her part, Karol G was awarded in the categories My Favorite Streaming Artist, Girl Power and Best Urban Track, shared with Shakira, Best Female Urban Album, for her production ‘Tomorrow will be beautiful’, and Social Dance Challenge.

Featherweight won the categories Premios Juventud Masculino Artist, The New Regional Mexican Generation, Best Regional Mexican Song, Best Regional Mexican Collaboration and Best Regional Mexican Album.

The other winners of the night were Bad Bunny, Bizarrap and Rosalía, who won four awards each.

The 2023 Premios Juventud kicked off with a dedication to reggaeton designed by Daddy Yankee and the music producer duo Luny Tunes.

Also known as “El Big Boss” is the top winner of Premios Juventud with 23 awards, including recognition as “Change Agent” in 2021.

Urban genre artists such as Alexis and Fido, Angel and Khriz, Chencho Corleone, Chesca, De La Ghetto, DJ Playero, Khea, Omar Courtz, RaiNao, RKM & Ken-Y, Wisin and Zion and Lennox, took the stage to pay tribute to this musical genre.
