Después de la pesadilla que se ha dado en la Leagues Cup 2023 para los equipos de la Liga MX, por fin una buena noticia con la calificación de Rayados del Monterrey a las Semifinales al eliminar de manera dramática al LAFC.

Si bien el cuadro de la Major League Soccer (MLS) no contó con su mejor jugador, el delantero mexicano, Carlos Vela, quien se mantiene alejado, lograron ponerse hasta 2-0 arriba en el marcador parcial. Sin embargo, la mayor experiencia y calidad del equipo regiomontano se impuso y pudo darle la vuelta en los últimos minutos para el 3-2 final y llevarse este resultado que los manda a la instancia previa de la Final.

En esta nueva edición del torneo que enfrenta a los equipos del campeonato mexicano de Primera División ante los de la Major League Soccer, se ha dado por fin un gran resultado. En este partido que se llevó a cabo en el legendario estadio Rose Bowl, de Pasadena, California, el cuadro comandado por el entrenador argentino, Fernando ‘Tano’ Ortiz, logró sobreponerse a un cuadro complicado en todo sentido.

Con este resultado, el futbol mexicano se mantiene con vida y bien representado. Y es que Rayados del Monterrey ha demostrado ser un sólido aspirante al título de este torneo.
