Muere el actor Billy Miller, dos días antes de cumplir años

Por Anahí Chávez – De acuerdo a medios estadounidenses, Miller de 43 años estaba luchando contra una depresión maníaca.

Estados Unidos.- El actor Billy Miller falleció el pasado 15 de septiembre, sin embargo, la noticia sobre su muerte se dio a conocer ayer en redes sociales.

Hasta el momento las causas de su fallecimiento no se han dado a conocer, pero medios estadounidenses señalan que pudo haberte quitado la vida.

El actor estaba luchando contra una depresión maníaca cuando murió”, escribió el sitio Variety”.

En tanto TMZ dio a conocer que el equipo de trabajo del actor teme que éste haya atentado contra él mismo debido a esta enfermedad.

“Parece que estaba luchando contra algunos demonios. Su equipo sugiere que pudo haberse quitado la vida”, detallaron.

Actualmente le sobreviven su madre Patricia, su hermana Megan, su cuñado Ronnie, su sobrino Grayson y su sobrina Charley.

¿Quién era Billy Miller?

Nació en Tulsa, Oklahoma pero la mayor parte de su vida la pasó en Texas donde terminó sus estudios. Se graduó de la carrera de comunicación y luego viajó hasta Los Ángeles donde su meta era adentrarse al mundo del espectáculo. 

Fue hasta 2007 donde debutó en la televisión interpretando a Richie Novak en la famosa serie “All my children”. Saltó a la fama gracias al programa “The Young and the Restless”, donde interpretó a Billy Abbott. 

Este papel le hizo a Miller conseguir un Emmy, incluidos dos como actor de reparto destacado en una serie dramática y actor principal destacado. 

En 2014 abandonó la serie y se unió a “Hospital General” hasta 2019, cuando participó en “Suits”. 

También participó en programas como: “NCIS”, “The Rookie”, “Truth Be Told”, “Major Crimes”, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “Castle” y “Enormous”. Además de las cintas “American Sniper” y “Urban Cowboy”.

Actor Billy Miller who starred in several successful and award-winning series such as Suits, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless passed away on Friday as reported by different media outlets following a statement by his management team.

The confirmation came through Variety, which published a statement from Miller’s team. Billy was 43 years old when he passed away last Friday in a hospital in Austin, Texas, and was close to celebrating his 44th birthday this Sunday, September 17.

“The actor was battling manic depression at the time of his death,” the statement said, the cause of death, however, has not been fully clarified, according to international news portals.

Billy Miller participated in soap operas in the beginning of his career

Billy Miller was born on September 17, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas, to later study communications at the University of Texas. He then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Growing up, he had a difficult time as he battled with a rare health condition called tarsal coalition, which affected the cartilage in his ankles.

Billy Miller’s breakout role

His first role came as Richie Novak in the All My Children TV drama that first aired in 1970 and lasted on the air until 2011.

Following his success on All My Children, Billy Miller also was cast for The Young and the Restless to play Billy Abbott, a role that helped him in his career while also leading him to five nominations at the Emmy Awards, where he won three times. He was later nominated for is role on General Hospital.

After that, he was also part of Suits where he played a circumstantial character named Marcus.
