Se acabó el tercero de los capítulos (en dos semanas) entre Pachuca y América pero ahora dentro de las instancias finales del Fútbol Mexicano, Liguilla. Panorama diferente, con tintes más de orgullo que de clasificación, pero que como era de esperarse, se diputó a muerte de principio a fin. Los de Guillermo Almada tuvieron todo para ganarlo, mientras que los discípulos de André Jardine fueron contundentes con la única de peligro que tuvieron.

Minutos iniciales y nadie arriesgaba de más, ambos conjuntos muy cautos así como bastante precavidos con el marcador, pero sobre todo, con aquellos descuidos que pudieran traerles a la larga algún gol en contra. Para la mala fortuna de las Águilas, fue justo una desatención en medio campo aquella, que le permitió a Tuzos abrir el marcador.

Minuto 21 y un error de Álvaro Fidalgo al momento del pase puso a los azulcremas en desventaja. Recuperación de Salomón Rondón quien tras el robo, avanzó y ganó metros hasta que Erick Sánchez le marcó el movimiento; pase filtrado al ‘Chiquito’ quien remató cruzado, y tras la gran atajada de Luis Ángel Malagón, el ‘Rey’ se hizo presente para mandar a guardar lo que él mismo empezó.

Pasaron los minutos y los de casa mantuvieron la hegemonía. Llegadas de peligro por ambas bandas; asociaciones por el centro que generaban peligro y un América que replegado, lucía temeroso por ver caer un segundo tanto del rival; no obstante, Pachuca jamás logró concretar y le abrieron el camino a que los de Coapa lograran igualar las condiciones.

Una vez más Javairo Dilrosun (el hombre de las Águilas con más aporte) se hizo presente. El neerlandés tomó el balón por costado derecho, se perfiló y le puso un bombón a Henry Martin para que nada más la empujara con la cabeza. Gol que mandaba a ambas escuadras al descanso con empate en el marcador y le brindaba un respiro a la visita en un primer tiempo de auténtica pesadilla.

Al finalizar, ambos dieron a entender que se conformarían con el empate y lo dejarían todo para definir en el Azteca. Un par de llegadas más por parte de los Albiazules espantaron a los rivales, pero solo quedó en eso, un simple espanto. Para la vuelta Pachuca contará de nuevo con Oussama Idrissi y ahí deberá tener más cuidado Jardine con la estrategia que mande, pues no ha habido partido en este semestre, en que el neerlandés no les haga daño.
