Película sobre Black Wall Street debuta el 11 de octubre

MENLO PARK, California – Fawesome, un canal gratuito de vídeo a la carta con publicidad, estrenará su primer largometraje original, «Greenwood Rising: The Rise of Black Wall Street», el 11 de octubre de 2024. El drama biográfico narra la creación del Black Wall Street de Tulsa a través de la historia del empresario O.W. Gurley.

La película está protagonizada por Darius McCrary, conocido por su papel de Eddie Winslow en «Family Matters», y describe la transformación por parte de Gurley del distrito de Greenwood en un próspero centro de negocios propiedad de negros.

Vikrant Mathur, cofundador de Future Today, empresa matriz de Fawesome, destacó la importancia de la película: «Greenwood Rising: The Rise of Black Wall Street’ de Fawesome Original aporta una prolífica historia de valentía y determinación frente a la adversidad. Movie about Black Wall Street debuts October 11

MENLO PARK, Calif. – Fawesome, a free ad-supported video-on-demand channel, is set to premiere its first original feature film, “Greenwood Rising: The Rise of Black Wall Street,” on October 11, 2024. The biographical drama chronicles the establishment of Tulsa’s Black Wall Street through the story of entrepreneur O.W. Gurley.

The film stars Darius McCrary, known for his role as Eddie Winslow in “Family Matters,” and depicts Gurley’s transformation of the Greenwood District into a thriving center of Black-owned businesses.
