La elecciones llegan una vez mas a la Ciudad de Rogers, cuatro candidatos se han postulado par la posición 1 del Sector 1 del Consejo Municipal de Rogers, Shawn Wright; quiere continuar con el legado de su padre, mismo que ha dominado por veinte años.

La política es una señora de muy mala reputación. Se disfraza de Channel, y vende su cuerpo infiel al mejor postor. Si es cierto que hay de políticos a políticos, es muy difícil saber quien en realidad dice la verdad al momento de postularse para cualquier puesto político. Lo cierto que en esta guerra por el puesto al Consejo Municipal de La Ciudad de Rogers, Wright quiere asegurarse que usted amigo lector se de cuenta de la razones por la cual el quiere continuar con el legado que dejara su padre. “Me estoy postulando para el Consejo Municipal de Rogers porque tengo un deseo inmenso de servir a mi comunidad. El haber nacido y crecido aquí, me ha permitido ver los retos y los cambios que ha tenido nuestra ciudad desde que la ciudad tenia menos de 20mil habitantes, y ahora se ha transformado  una área metropolitana estimando una población de 66mil habitantes. Vivo en el centro de la ciudad y todas las mejoraciones que se han hecho no solo en el centro de Rogers, sino también a la parte Este de Rogers, es algo que me llena de satisfacción, creo que es algo muy importante de seguir haciendo, al mismo tiempo que conservamos nuestra historia.” Comento Shawn.

De los cuatro candidatos que se están postulando para el Consejo Municipal de Rogers del Sector 1, Shawn tiene algo le puede beneficiar; su padre es el actual miembro del Consejo Municipal, y ha mantenido ese puesto político por dos décadas, mismo puesto que Shawn quiere conseguir. “ Mi padre Buddy Wright ha representado al Sector 1 en la posición 1 del Consejo Municipal de Rogers por los últimos 20 años. He visto lo que se necesita de primera mano el ser un gran líder y servir a nuestra comunidad. Mi padres es un hombre de una gran integridad, y sin importar, su liderazgo y sabiduría será extrañada en nuestro Consejo Municipal.” Agrego Shawn.

Hace algunos años, El actual alcalde de Rogers y miembros de su gabinete le prometieron a la comunidad en general que el actual Complejo Regional Deportivo localizado sobre la calle Dixieland contaría con canchas de futbol, mismas que se quedaron solo en el dibujo del plano. “ Me da tristeza el saber que se le mintió a la comunidad Latina. Esta claro que nuestros amigos Latinos son una gran parte de nuestra comunidad y que deberías de hacer todo lo que podamos para llenar sus necesidades, al igual que la de los demás. Yo jugué futbol y entiendo y me doy cuenta como otros deportes reciben el apoyo. Yo nunca mentiría con el simple hecho de lograr un voto. La honestidad es muy importante para mi, y tengo una gran orgullo en mi carácter. Si dijo que hare algo, lo cumpliré. Si no estoy seguro de algo, no hago falsas promesas. Siempre estaré dispuesto a hablar con cualquier miembro de nuestra comunidad de los problemas y preocupaciones.” Dijo Shawn.

El crecimiento de Rogers en las últimas décadas a sido inmensamente grande. La comunidad Latina si bien a pasado de ser una minoría a una mayoría sigue sin representación en el Consejo Municipal de Rogers, y eso por la falta de liderazgo y toma de decisiones, no  solo del actual alcalde de Rogers, miembros del Consejo Municipal, su gabinete; sino también de los mismos Ciudadanos de Rogers. Al preguntarle a Shawn como describiría a la Ciudad de Rogers dijo “Si pudiera describir Rogers en una oración diría que es un lugar único con una gran diversidad y gente con buenos corazones y buenas intenciones. También es mi casa y no me puedo imaginar un mejor lugar para ver crecer a mis hijo.” Concluyo Shawn.

La Guerra por el puesto 1 del Sector 1 del Consejo Municipal de Rogers continuara en las próximas semanas y culminara el 6 de Noviembre, 2018  en el día de las elecciones.

 

Shawn Wright tiene a tres rivales: Clint Hopper, Mandy Brashear, y Rick Stocker. Estos no se quedaran de brazos cruzados y trataran de evitar que Shawn continúe el legado de su padre.

The elections come once again to the City of Rogers, four candidates are running position 1 of Ward 1 of the Rogers City Council. Shawn Wright wants to continue his father legacy, a position that Buddy Wright is leaving after serving for twenty years.

Politics is like  a lady with a very bad reputation. She disguises her self with Channel, and sells her unfaithful body to the highest bidder. If it is true that there are good politicians and bad politicians, it is very difficult to know who actually speaks the truth when running for any political position. The truth is that in this war for a spot in the to the Rogers City Council, Shawn Wright wants to make sure that you, the reader, realize the reasons why he is running for a spot that his dad is leaving. “I’m running for City Council Ward 1 Position 1 because I have a strong desire to serve my community. As someone who was born and raised here, I have seen firsthand the changes and the challenges that our city has faced since it was a city with less than 20,000 people when I was young to the ever-growing metropolitan area it is today with an estimated 66,000 people. I live in Historic Downtown Rogers and have been excited to see the Revitalization efforts taking place Downtown and around East Rogers. I think it’s important to continue that momentum while preserving as much of our history as possible.” Said Shawn.

Of the four candidates who are running for Ward 1 Position 1 of the Rogers City Council, Shawn has something that can benefit him; his father is the current member of the Rogers City Council, a position that his dad held for two decades, same as Shawn hopes to be elected. “My father Buddy Wright has represented Ward 1 in Position 1 for the past 2 decades. I’ve seen firsthand what it means to be a leader and to serve your community. My father is a man of great integrity and no mater what, his wisdom and thoughtfulness will be missed on our City Council.” Shawn added.

A few years ago, the current mayor of Rogers and members of his cabinet promised the community in general that the current Rogers Regional Sports Complex located on Dixieland Street would have soccer fields, those soccer fields  were only part of drawing plans because the soccer fields were never built. “It saddens me to hear about the Latino community being lied to regarding the sports complex. Clearly our Latino friends are a huge part of our community and we should all do what we can to make sure their wants and needs are being addressed just like anyone else’s. As someone who played high school soccer I completely understand how the other sports always seem to have all of the support. I would never lie to anyone to get their vote. Honesty is extremely important to me and I take great pride in my character. If I tell you I’m going to do something then I will do it. If I’m not sure I can make something happen then I wont make false promises. Either way I will always be open to listen and discuss any concerns with any member of our community.” Said Shawn. The growth of Rogers in the last decades has been immensely great. The Latino community, although it has gone from being a minority to a majority, is still not represented in the Rogers City Council, and that is due to the lack of leadership and decision-making. Not only the current mayor of Rogers, members of the Municipal Council, and his cabinet; but also from the Rogers Citizens themselves. When  Shawn was asked how he would describe the City of Rogers, he said “If I were to describe Rogers in one sentence I’d say it’s a unique and individual place with diverse and eclectic people who overwhelmingly have good hearts and best of intentions. It is also my home and I cannot imagine a better place to raise my children.” Shawn concluded. 

The War for the Ward 1 Position 1 of the Rogers City Council will continue in the up coming weeks and will end on election day on November 6, 2018.

Shawn Wright is running against: Clint Hopper, Mandy Brashear, and Rick Stocker. These last three will not stay with their arms crossed and will try to keep Shawn from been elected to Ward 1 Position 1.
