JENKS, Okla. — Una mujer murió el jueves después de salirse de la autopista Creek Turnpike y chocar contra una casa de Jenks, según la Patrulla de Caminos de Oklahoma.
Los policías dijeron que Mckenzie Gee, de 29 años, de Sapulpa, OK, conducía hacia el oeste por Creek Turnpike, justo al oeste de la US 75 en Jenks, cuando se salió de la carretera, atravesó una cerca de la autopista y siguió hasta que chocó contra una casa.
La casa en el barrio de Southern Reserves tenía cuatro personas en el momento y se incendió, dijeron los policías.
Los soldados dijeron que los residentes pudieron salir de la casa de manera segura.
Gee fue declarada muerta en la escena por los primeros en responder, dijeron los policias.
El vecino Christian Flowers dijo que los policías llamaron a la puerta para avisarle que la casa de al lado estaba en llamas.
“Oí un fuerte estruendo y un minuto después, más o menos, un par de policías llamaron a nuestra puerta para decirnos que la casa de nuestro vecino estaba en llamas”, dijo Flowers.
La causa del choque está bajo investigación.

JENKS, Okla. — A woman died Thursday after driving off the Creek Turnpike and crashing into a Jenks home, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Mckenzie Gee, 29, of Sapulpa, OK was driving west on the Creek Turnpike, just west of US 75 in Jenks when she left the road and drove through a turnpike fence and kept going until she hit a house.
The house in the Southern Reserves Neighborhood had four people home at the time and it caught fire, troopers said.
Troopers said the residents were able to make it out of the home safely.
Gee was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, troopers said.
Neighbor Christian Flowers said police officers came knocking to let him know that the house next door was on fire.
“I just heard a loud boom and about a minute or so later there’s a couple cops knocking at our door telling us our next-door neighbor’s house is on fire,” Flowers said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
