CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, abril 7 (EL UNIVERSAL).- El campus Norman de la Universidad de Oklahoma fue cerrado el viernes después de que al menos una persona que llamó informara que había un tirador activo, pero no se encontró evidencia de un tiroteo de inmediato, lo que generó sospechas de que pudo haber sido un engaño.

El incidente comenzó alrededor de las 9:24 pm del viernes cuando la universidad envió una alerta de emergencia a los estudiantes, advirtiéndoles de un “tirador activo” en Van Vleet Oval, una calle en el centro del campus.

Un residente local cerca de la universidad informó haber escuchado lo que parecían disparos. No hubo información oficial sobre si alguien resultó herido en el tiroteo. Una gran cantidad de servicios de emergencia están respondiendo, mientras los oficiales trabajan para asegurar el área.

Los estudiantes deben evitar el área y refugiarse, indicaron.

‘Active shooter’ at University of Oklahoma may have been a hoax

Fri, April 7, 2023 – MEXICO CITY, April 7 (THE UNIVERSAL).- The Norman campus of the University of Oklahoma was closed on Friday after at least one caller reported that there was an active shooter, but no evidence of a shooting was found immediately, which generated suspicions that it could have been a hoax.

The incident began around 9:24 pm on Friday when the university sent an emergency alert to the students, warning them of an “active shooter” in Van Vleet Oval, a street in the center of the campus.

A local resident near the university reported hearing what looked like gunshots. There was no official information about whether anyone was injured in the shooting. A large number of emergency services are responding, while the officers work to secure the area.

Students must avoid the area and take refuge, they said.
