“Vergüenza”, “humillación histórica”, “la peor derrota de la historia”… eran algunos de los titulares de la prensa inglesa para calificar la goleada recibida por el Manchester United en Anfield a manos de su eterno rival, el Liverpool. El duelo del noroeste de Inglaterra, también llamado el ‘derbi inglés’ por enfrentar a los dos equipos más laureados del país inventor del fútbol (y a la gran rivalidad entre las dos ciudades), vivió este domingo la mayor goleada de la historia, batiendo el récord que databa de 1895, un 7-1 también a favor del Liverpool. A partir de esta humillación, repasamos las mayores goleadas de los grandes clásicos nacionales del fútbol mundial.

Real Madrid 11-Barça 1
Ocurrió en el partido de vuelta de las semifinales de la entonces denominada Copa del Generalísimo. Tras el triunfo de los azulgrana en la ida (3-0), la vuelta disputada en Chamartín acabó con un escandaloso 11-1. Aquel encuentro, en plena posguerra, enfrentó a las dos aficiones y traspasó los límites deportivos, ya que en Barcelona se denunció que las autoridades intimidaron a árbitros y jugadores visitantes. Fuentes que han investigado aquel episodio aseguran que no hubo nada de eso. El encuentro, que al descanso marchaba 8-0, es la mayor goleada registrada en el clásico español.

Boca 6-River 0
Curiosa es la historia de la mayor goleada en el ‘Superclásico’ argentino. Ocurrió en 1928, en el antiguo estadio xeneize de madera, en el que el Boca humilló a sus rivales ‘Millonarios’ por 6-0. Tanta fue la afrenta que lo más recordado de aquel duelo fue el ruego del capitán de River, quien pidió clemencia al árbitro para que señalara el final antes del tiempo reglamentario.

Ajax 8-Feyenoord 2
Mucho nombre propio en la mayor goleada en ‘De Klasieker’ holandés: el 8-2 del Ajax al Feyenoord en la temporada 1983-1984. Los de Amsterdam, con Van Basten y Koeman, no tuvieron piedad de un rival en el que jugaba… ¡Johan Cruyff! También un jovencísimo Gullit. El ‘flaco’ se vengó: prometió ganar la Liga y lo terminó consiguiendo.

Celtic 7-Rangers 1
‘The Old Firm’, como se conoce a esta vieja rivalidad que trasciende al deporte, tuvo uno de sus momentos álgidos en la Copa de la Liga de Escocia de 1957, cuando el Celtic venció a su eterno rival por un sonrojante 7-1.

Juventus 7-Inter 2
De otro tiempo es la mayor goleada en el denominado ‘derbi de Italia’ entre los dos clubes más laureados a nivel nacional. Ocurrió en diciembre de 1913, cuando la Juve le endosó al Inter de Milán un doloroso 7-1. A los de Turín les duró poco el orgullo, ya que menos de un mes después recibieron otro escandaloso 6-1 por parte del Inter.

Benfica 12-Oporto 2
Julinho, un excelso goleador que acabó con 170 goles en 166 partidos en la liga portuguesa, anotó cinco en la escandalosa goleada del Benfica al Oporto en ‘O’Classico’ jugado en Lisboa en la liga 1944/45.

Nacional 6-Peñarol 0
El conocido como el ‘Clásico del 10-0′ de 1941 tuvo dos capítulos. Porque si el partido entre los primeros equipos acabó con triunfo del Nacional por 6-0, sus ‘reservas’ le endosaron otros cuatro al segundo equipo de Peñarol ese mismo día.

Bayern 11-Borussia 1
Aquel 11-1 de un Bayern liderado por el Torpedo Müller y Franz Beckenbauer al Borussia de Dortmund en ‘Der Klassiker’ fue una pesadilla para el portero del equipo de Dortmund, Jürgen Rynio. Para la historia, el ‘apaño’ que hubo que hacer en el marcador manual, que no tenía la capacidad de colocar dos dígitos en aquel 1971.

La gran rivalidad del fútbol mexicano tiene el 22 de agosto de 1956 quizá el germen. Según los que lo vivieron aquel partido, los jugadores del América comenzaron con ciertas burlas a los jugadores de Chivas, intentando regates y caños. Tras el primer tanto del Chivas, comenzó la venganza con un festival de goles para la historia.
