La fe mueve montañas / Faith moves mountains

El pasado domingo 12, la pastora Carmen Gil de la Iglesia Hispana Víctory fue agasajada por un numeroso grupo de feligreses con una fiesta sorpresa para celebrar otro año más de vida en el Salón The Other Site, cuya concurrencia superaba los doscientos cincuenta invitados.

La reunión fue muy emotiva porque fue acompañada por sus feligreses que le reiteraron su fidelidad por más de veinte años. Además, fue homenajeada por la famosa pastora Sharon Daugherty, viuda del pastor Billy Joe Daugherty, Hernán Calix y su esposa Belinda, junto a otras personas importantes de la comunidad.

Las miradas, la expresión y los gestos de cada uno de los asistentes, dejaba asomar la alegría que sentían por tener la oportunidad de compartir junto a Carmen Gil este importante momento donde celebraba algo tan precioso como la vida misma y la proyección que hacemos de ella al andar cada uno de sus días con el propósito, la intención y nuestras acciones puestas en que no vamos solos, sino acompañándonos unos a otros.

Porque con Carmen y junto a ella se descubre que vivir en la compañía permanente de la fe es  sentir y saber que está junto a nosotros brindándonos apoyo, fortaleza y esperanza para transitar el presente y construir el futuro.

Siendo esta,  la mejor enseñanza que Carmen nos ha puesto entre las manos desde el ejemplo de su propia existencia con hechos que van más allá de las palabras sobre cómo enfrentar al dolor y sanar, porque sientes, sabes y entiendes que:  la “fe, mueve montañas.”

 Del mismo modo, no mirar solo hacia nosotros sino, ser parte de lo que le pasa al prójimo y asistirlo con lo que esté a nuestro alcance, porque de esa manera celebramos a Dios y agradecemos todo lo que nos ha dado, tal cual lo expresa Carmen al decirnos:   “Dios no es una persona, es solamente amor y ese gran amor nos ayuda a descubrirnos a nosotros mismos.”

Todo lo aquí mencionado, sobre Carmen, se reflejó en este hermoso festejo en el cual estaba presente la felicidad misma, por el maravilloso don del vida que Dios nos otorga.

La pastora Gil, visiblemente emocionada agradeció la presencia de sus feligreses con lágrimas en los ojos diciendo que “este premio no solamente es mío sino también de ustedes porque juntos logramos construir el camino”, dejando en estas sencillas y breves palabras, un precioso mensaje. Faith moves mountains

Last Sunday the 12th, Pastor Carmen Gil of the Victory Hispanic Church was entertained by a large group of parishioners with a surprise party to celebrate another year of life, and attendance exceeded two hundred and fifty guests.

The meeting was very emotional because she was accompanied by her parishioners, who expressed thanks for her fidelity for more than twenty years. In addition, she was honored by the famous preacher Sharon Daugherty, widow of Pastor Billy Joe Daugherty, along with Hernán Calix and his wife Belinda, and other important people in the community.

The looks, the expression and the gestures of each of the attendees, revealed the joy they felt for having the opportunity to share with Carmen Gil this important moment where she celebrated something as precious as life itself and the projection we make of it, by walking each of your days with purpose, and our actions set in that we do not go alone, but accompanying each other.

Because with Carmen, it is discovered that living in the permanent company of faith means feeling and knowing that it is with us, giving us support, strength and hope to move through the present and build the future.

This is the best teaching that Carmen has placed in our hands from the example of her own existence, with facts that go beyond words on how to face pain and heal, because you feel, know and understand that “faith moves mountains.”

In the same way, not looking only at ourselves, but being part of what happens to our neighbor and assisting him with what is within our reach, because in this way we celebrate God and appreciate everything He has given us.

“God is not a person, He is only love and that great love helps us to discover ourselves,” Carmen explains.

Everything mentioned here about Carmen was reflected in this beautiful celebration in which happiness itself was present, due to the wonderful gift of life that God gives us.

Pastor Gil, visibly moved, thanked her parishioners with tears in her eyes, saying, “This honor is not only mine but also yours because together we managed to build the path,” leaving with these simple and brief words, a precious message. (La Semana)
