“She Makes Art ’24” at Liggett Studios

TULSA, OK — La galería de los estudios Liggett celebra el Mes de la Historia de la Mujer con la edición 2024 de SHE MAKES ART, que estará abierta hasta el 4 de abril.

Susan McCalmont, directora de la 1515 Lincoln Gallery de Ok City, es el jurado de la exposición SHE MAKES ART de este año. Ha seleccionado 70 obras de entre 150 presentadas por 90 artistas. 

Este año se conceden premios en las siguientes categorías: 2 Dimensiones, 3 Dimensiones,

Más Innovador y Mejor Realización Conceptual.

“En una época en la que las mujeres siguen luchando por el reconocimiento y la influencia, me gustaría ver obras que representen la voz creativa femenina compartiendo las tensiones que siguen existiendo en la sociedad civil actual”, dijo McCalmont sobre las obras que eligió para la exposición. “Las obras deben encarnar la expresión conmovedora de la artista con gran atención a los detalles finamente elaborados”.

Entre los artistas cuyas obras están expuestas y a la venta en la exposición se encuentran Claire Harkness, Elizabeth Henley, Taylor Hoffer, Gina Alusi, Wendy Thomas y Nichol Montgomery.

TULSA, OK — The Gallery at Liggett Studios celebrates Women’s History Month with the 2024 edition of SHE MAKES ART, running now through April 4th.

Susan McCalmont, Director of 1515 Lincoln Gallery in Ok City, is the juror for this year’s SHE MAKES ART exhibition. She chose 70 works from 150 entries from 90 artists. 

This year awards are being given in the following categories: 2 Dimensional, 3 Dimensional,

Most Innovative and Best Conceptual Realization.

“In an age where women still struggle for recognition and influence, I would like to see work that represents the creative female voice sharing what strains continue in civil society today,” McCalmont said about the works she chose for the show. “The works should embody the soulful expression of the artist with great attention to finely crafted details.”

Artists whose works are on display, and for sale, at the exhibition include Claire Harkness, Elizabeth Henley, Taylor Hoffer, Gina Alusi, Wendy Thomas, and Nichol Montgomery.
