Tulsa, OK – Cuando se rompe un vehículo siempre es complicado encontrar un buen taller mecánico de confianza, y precisamente es la razón por la cual Zephyr automotive tiene tantos clientes, personas a las que no les importa estar en lista de espera por 15 días para conseguir las respuestas y soluciones que buscaban.

Su dueño es Bill Hughart, un empresario nacido y criado en Tulsa que trae el amor por los autos desde la cuna. Diploma tras diploma se convirtió con esfuerzo y estudio en un mecánico profesional y fundó hace dos años su taller mecánico integral  en la calle 53 y Peoria, que también se especializa en autos antiguos.

¨Tenemos un buen nombre en la comunidad, la gente viene porque sabe que les arreglamos bien los autos. Pueden ir a otros talleres, pero la realidad es que muchos de los vehículos que ingresan ya vienen de otro lado¨, dijo Hughart con orgullo. Pero sabe de lo que está hablando, habiéndose recibido en tecnología y automotores, autopartes y mecánica de automotor y con más de 50 años de experiencia, Bill, tiene autoridad suficiente para dar catedra. 

¨Me encanta seguir estudiando cosas nuevas y estar al dia con los problemas que puedan surgir en los vehículos¨, admitió, completamente consciente de la imperiosa necesidad de seguir capacitándose en una industria que depende tanto de los avances tecnológicos.

En Zephyr ofrecen todos los servicios posibles, desde diagnóstico inicial a frenos, pasando por mantenimiento eléctrico, aire acondicionado y hasta servicio de venta y reparación de ruedas. 

¨Cada jueves trabajamos con autos clásicos, así nos mantenemos siempre ocupados y atentos a la demanda¨, dijo Hughart.

 El taller inicio con dos empleados, Hughart y su sobrino, y fue tanta la demanda que ya cuentan con un staff permanente de cinco personas, y Bill sabe que es un éxito, aunque el secreto es uno bien conocido, hacer lo que se ama de la mejor forma posible y trabajar sin descanso para ver a los clientes contentos. 

¨Amo lo que hago, cada mañana me levanto temprano, vengo aquí y trabajo con los autos, lo disfruto mucho. Mientras tanto intento que todo el mundo se active y rinda al máximo para que podamos encontrar las respuestas que andamos buscando¨, afirmó el hombre de los autos, que aun en su tiempo de ocio restaura autos clásicos.

¨Creo que en el fondo todos sabemos lo que necesitamos para ser exitosos. Si todos nos levantásemos a la mañana, fuéramos a trabajar y nos enorgulleciera lo que hacemos, entonces todos seriamos exitosos¨, agregó, asegurando que es la voluntad de ganarse la vida honestamente lo que hace que las grandes cosas sucedan.

Pronto Zephyr contratará nuevos mecánicos para reducir su lista de espera y mantener a los clientes felices. 

¨Mi meta es que las cosas fluyan más suave, lograr que todo entre y salga el mismo día¨, explicó.

No obstante el mayor sueño de Hughart es otro, retirarse y poder disfrutar de sus autos sin límites. 

¨Quiero manejar mi Zephyr por toda la ruta 66, de un lado al otro, y que no me importe si me toma 6 meses¨, reconoció.

A los más jóvenes de Tulsa que buscan encontrar trabajos bien pagos que puedan disfrutar Hughart les recomienda la mecánica. 

¨Hay mucho lugar en este campo para seguir creciendo, y los más jóvenes tienen oportunidad. Pero no es fácil, hay que trabajar mucho y estudiar, porque el éxito no se alcanza de la noche a la mañana. Hay que aplicarse, ir a la universidad y entender que los autos de hoy son muy complejos¨.

Tulsa, OK – When a vehicle breaks down, it’s always tricky to find a trustworthy mechanic, and that’s precisely why Zephyr Automotive has so many customers. People don’t mind being on a waiting list for 15 days to get the answers and solutions they were looking for.

Its owner is Bill Hughart, an entrepreneur born and raised in Tulsa who has loved cars from the cradle. Diploma after diploma, through hard work and study, he became a professional mechanic and founded his comprehensive auto shop two years ago on 53rd and Peoria, which also specializes in vintage cars.

“We have a good name in the community; people come because they know we fix their cars well. They could go to other shops, but the reality is that many of the vehicles that come in have already been somewhere else,” Hughart said proudly. But he knows what he’s talking about, having graduated in technology and automotive, auto parts, and vehicle mechanics and with more than 50 years of experience, Bill has enough authority to lecture.

“I love continuing to study new things and staying up to date with the problems that can arise in vehicles,” he admitted, fully aware of the pressing need to continue training in an industry that depends so much on technological advances.

At Zephyr, they offer all possible services, from initial diagnostics to brakes, electrical maintenance, air conditioning, and even wheel sales and repair service.

“Every Thursday, we work with classic cars, so we always stay busy and attentive to demand,” Hughart said.

The shop started with two employees, Hughart and his nephew, but the demand was so great that they now have a permanent staff of five people. Bill knows it’s a success, although the secret is a well-known one: do what you love in the best possible way and work tirelessly to see customers happy.

“I love what I do. Every morning I get up early, come here, and work with the cars, enjoying it a lot. Meanwhile, I try to get everyone to activate and perform at their best so we can find the answers we’re looking for,” said the car man, who even in his leisure time restores classic cars.

“I think deep down we all know what we need to be successful. If we all got up in the morning, went to work, and were proud of what we do, then we would all be successful,” he added, ensuring that the will to earn a living honestly is what makes great things happen.

Soon Zephyr will hire new mechanics to reduce their waiting list and keep customers happy.

“My goal is to make things flow smoother, to get everything in and out the same day,” he explained.

Nevertheless, Hughart’s biggest dream is something else: to retire and enjoy his cars without limits.

“I want to drive my Zephyr all along Route 66, from one end to the other, and not care if it takes me 6 months,” he admitted.

To the younger people of Tulsa who are looking for well-paid jobs they can enjoy, Hughart recommends mechanics.

“There’s a lot of room in this field to continue growing, and the younger ones have a chance. But it’s not easy; it takes a lot of work and study because success doesn’t happen overnight. You have to apply yourself, go to college, and understand that today’s cars are very complex.”
