Ex amante de Trump contrata abogado de Tulsa

TULSA, OK – Stormy Daniels, la estrella del porno cuya relación con Donald Trump y el supuesto intento de silenciarlo ha sido uno de los escándalos y dolores de cabeza más persistentes del presidente, anunció el martes que el destacado abogado de Tulsa, Clark Brewster, es su nuevo asesor legal.
Daniels se reunió con Brewster en Tulsa y le pidió que revisara su caso y las opciones legales.

Daniels hasta este momento estuvo representada por el abogado Michael Avenatti, quien afirmó el martes que había despedido a Daniels como cliente el mes pasado, incluso antes de que una de las demandas de Daniels contra el presidente fuera desestimada la semana pasada por el Juez del Tribunal de Distrito de los EE. “El 19 de febrero, informamos a Stormy Daniels por escrito que estábamos cancelando nuestra representación legal de ella por varias razones que no podemos divulgar públicamente debido al privilegio de abogado-cliente“, dijo Avenatti, también utilizando Twitter para publicar la declaración.
Daniels mantiene, y el ex abogado de Trump Michael Cohen ha confirmado, que el presidente le pagó $ 130,000 en dinero secreto para que guardara silencio sobre una aventura que dijo que había tenido con Trump meses después de que su esposa dio a luz al hijo de la pareja, Barron. Trump niega que el asunto haya tenido lugar y ha hecho declaraciones inconsistentes sobre el supuesto pago.

TULSA, OK – Stormy Daniels, the porn star whose relationship with Donald Trump and the alleged attempt to hush it up has been one of the president’s most persistent scandals and legal headaches announced Tuesday that prominent Tulsa attorney Clark Brewster is her new legal counsel.
Daniels reportedly met with Brewster in Tulsa recently and asked him to review her case and legal options.
“Upon completion of Mr. Brewster’s review and further consultation with me, I anticipate Mr. Brewster will serve as my primary counsel on all legal issues,” Daniels, who real name is Stephanie Clifford, announced on Twitter.
Daniels had to this point been represented by attorney Michael Avenatti, who claimed Tuesday that he had fired Daniels as a client last month, even before one of Daniels’ lawsuits against the president was dismissed last week by U.S. District Court Judge S. James Otero.
“On February 19, we informed Stormy Daniels in writing that we were terminating our legal representation of her for various reasons that we cannot disclose publicly due to the attorney-client privilege,” Avenatti said, also using Twitter to release the statement.
Daniels maintains, and former Trump attorney Michael Cohen has confirmed, that she was paid $130,000 in hush money by the president to keep silent about an affair she said she had with Trump month’s after his wife gave birth to the couple’s son, Barron. Trump denies the affair ever took place and has made inconsistent statements about the alleged payoff.
Brewster, who is known for representing high-profile clients, confirmed the information posted by Daniels on Twitter.
“We had a lengthy meeting yesterday, and I’ve decided to take the cases,” Brewster was reported as saying by The Tulsa World. “We actually entered an appearance in the Trump case in the Ninth Circuit yesterday and we’ll take over all her legal matters.”
Although two lawsuits brought against the president by Daniels have been dismissed, the promises to be a case that will remain in the headlines and the courts for the foreseeable future. (La Semana)
