TULSA – Un gol en el tiempo de descuento concedido por el FC Tulsa le costó al club dos puntos cruciales en el empate 1-1 ante el rival del Black Gold Derby, el OKC Energy FC, el sábado por la noche en el ONEOK Field. Tras tomar la delantera en el minuto 73′, FC Tulsa permitió un córner en el minuto 90′ que el OKC no desaprovechó para empatar el partido, a pesar de estar con un hombre menos.
Todo fue para el FC Tulsa durante la primera mitad en todas las estadísticas, pero el marcador no se abria. Cuando Tulsa encontró la red por la bota del defensa Callum Chapman-Page, el gol fue anulado por un polémico fuera de juego del juez de línea. Al final, los equipos entraron al vestuario empatados sin goles después de 45 minutos.
En la segunda parte, fue el delantero Darío Suárez, que marcó su sexto gol en los últimos cuatro partidos, quien dio a Tulsa la ventaja después de que un disparo desviado del zaguero Matt Sheldon cayera a los pies de Suárez, el delantero cubano envió un disparo destinado a la distancia. TULSA – A stoppage time goal given up by FC Tulsa cost the club a crucial two points in a 1-1 draw to Black Gold Derby rival OKC Energy FC on Saturday night at ONEOK Field. After taking the lead in the 73′ minute, FC Tulsa allowed a 90′ minute corner to OKC who took advantage, despite being a man down, to tie up the match.
It was all FC Tulsa throughout the first half in every statistic but the score as Tulsa found both the crossbar and post midway through the opening fram. When Tulsa found the net off the boot of defender Callum Chapman-Page, the goal was disallowed by a controversial offside call from the linesman. Ultimately, the teams went into the locker room even at 0-0 after 45 minutes.
In the second half, it was forward Darío Suárez, scoring his sixth goal in the last four matches, who gave Tulsa the second half advantage. After a deflected shot by defender Matt Sheldon fell to the feet of Suárez, the Cuban forward sent a shot destined for the far. The ball was deflected back into the goal by OKC to give Tulsa the lead it deserved.
Just four minutes later, it appeared FC Tulsa was assured of the three points when OKC midfielder José Hernández was sent off with his second yellow card, putting Tulsa up a man. Down to 10 men, OKC Energy FC won a corner and the ball sent in by Rafael Garcia was headed in by substitute Omar Gordon, leveling the match.

FC Tulsa will make its final roadtrip of the year when it plays Rio Grande Valley FC next Saturday night in Edinburg, Texas. Kickoff for the match on September 19 will be at 8 p.m.
